I expect some of these clowns to repeat the "ron held cam back" nonsense, but its kinda strange hearing it from you. We literally ran a rpo college offense to put cam in the best position to win. If anyome "held cam back" it is the gms who nevwr got him an oline.

coaches and gms work side by side to build a team. it's just as much ron's fault as anyone else that byron bell was an option at LT (because he is left handed, remember)

I dont think the 3-4 change was made by Rivera. That probably came from Tepper.

How could you possibly come to that conclusion?  Rivera was a 3-4 guy in San Diego.  Rivera knew he wouldn't stick around without a change.  He tried, sucked and failed.  Go back to what we are.  4-3.

That was Gettleman all the way. Yes, I was there. He told me.

Okay no, but Gettleman was the one talking and it always felt like him to me.

I would have written the following above the quote but am not able to do that.

As far as the 34 and Tepper, it is a hell of a coincidence. And Luke needs to bulk up for that scheme.

And, I have never heard of a team fully, successfully I mean, making that switch in one season. With the DL injuries, the unfamiliarity of many of the players, it was unreasonable to demand excellence. I know what we got was nowhere near even good, but expectations of the fan base in general were too high. IMO.

But I am really not trying to defend the switch, I prefer the 43.

Simple our owner has come from the Steelers organization and has a connection to the Patriots. All 3-4 teams. It's just as easy to come to that conclusion as it is to day it was Rivera.

I guess??  Seems a bit reachy to me but hey, tomata, tomato.  Either way, unless we get Cam back at 100 the next couple years might sting.

Anyone with eyeballs can see that Luke hasn't  adapted well to this 3-4 alignment. Before this change, he could read an offense like a book, now he just seems lost at times.

They need to find a few big bodies and go back to the 4-3 on a permanent basis. Start with the draft and bring in a stout FA or two to rebuild the line.

The Rivera experiment didn't work and we need to go back to what did. Luke has still got it and we need to put him back in a position to play like he is capable of.

This 3-4 scheme needs to end ASAP and go back to being the stout defense that they where known for....and give Luke back the reigns.

Spot on.

PS..."reins".
