Can we rebuild quickly without the 20 million cap savings?

Cam isnt even showing up to the games to cheer his team mates. I think there is plenty to read i to that cam isnt coming back. And there are some of us that dont want him back because he in injury prone and no longer a dual threat as well. That doesnt mean they are 'racist' either. Some of us older cats have been watching football a long time and can see the signs while some of the younger less knowlegeable fanbase cant seem to get past 2015. You dont pay cam based on the past. You pay a co tract based on what they can do in the future. And cam cant stay healthy and cant take the hits anymore. He has never been accurate enough to be a pocket passer. He was good at the run option, and now he cant run anymore.

While I get the gyst of your point, I still think Cam has the ability to be who he once was. It really doesnt take 2015 Cam to get to the SB. It takes a healthy Cam. If we look at his injuries all his injuries came from the pocket except 1 and that one was when he dove after his pass was intercepted to push a player out of bounds. The foot injury is more of a freakish injury because it rarely ever happens. Hopefully the surgery fixes that. But I believe after the surgery Cam will be well rested and hitting the gym to get back into shape. I see him coming back with vengeance. I just know Id rather see that vengeance for us than against us. Just reminds me of his college days at Florida and being humbled at Blaine and coming to Auburn and dominating when everybody counted him out.

Don't think Cam will be here next year.

Me either. I think this will be a complete rebuild. We will proba ly get rid of all pf our expensive players over the age of 25. We will only keep young good players on their rookie deals imo. We might keep a few older players if they are cheap.

Guys like CMC and dante jackson are safe. Guys like newton, mccoy and olsen will be gone.

There will be some good players that will be a total tossup like luke and shaq thompson that could go either way. Lots of fans are going to have a hard time with this.

I love Cam. Like, legitimately in my top 4 of favorite athletes of all time across all sports. I’ll Stan for him anyway. However, financially if you’re looking for a rebuild it’s best to take the step into life after Cam. Frankly I became a Panthers fan through Cam but I plan on sticking with this team and supporting them in perpetuity.

If a new coach thinks instant success is possible then stick with Cam. However, if he’s looking to rebuild it’s a very logical move.

We will not be able to rebuild quickly unless Cam returns healthy and playing well. Otherwise next season will be bad.

Depends on the development of our other QBs.

Depending on Cam at this point is just as big of risk as going with a developing QB.
