We ended up getting the kids one this year for Xmas. We got the Mario Kart bundled console and we also got them Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey. We put Minecraft, Mario Bros U Deluxe, and Luigi's Mansion 3 on their lists in case grandparents or others want to get them a game. We also put an extra Joy-Con on the list, and we already bought an extra grip for a second Joy-Con.

Any other essentials we'll need? I gotta read up on the memory card thing. I dunno if this bundle came with one or what.

My nephew(8) likes the Yoshi's Crafted World game, as well as Link's Awakening. I've got a Switch just for Breath of the Wild. It doesn't get a lot of use anymore, but I'm keeping it just for the BOTW sequel coming out in the next year or so.

I can't imagine a kid liking BOTW. Way too complex.

Do they do all the side missions, collect seeds, get all the armor? If so, awesome!

All three of my nephews play it and have even gotten into the DLC stuff. I thought I was going to have to help them out, but after seeing them play, I probably would have slowed them down. They're 8, 9 and 10.
