You have to remember the guys who made it to this level generally have a huge ego.

"Yes, everyone else has failed at leading this franchise, but I am strong and mighty and will succeed where others could not!!!"

True but how many have taken that job only to ruin any chance of headcoach omg ever again.

look at how many we hear nothing about any more.

note: I’m not trumpeting Mike McCarthy. I’m more inclined to find our own Doug Pederson or McVae.

whats up right now is that we see John Harbaugh that won a Super Bowl preciously now on resurgence last year and now this with Lamar Jackson Steaming away. Then there’s Pittsburgh for all their faults at 7-5 with third string quarterbacks etc.

so the possibility of hiring an “old school toughness” guy is a real probability. Get the right one and you have long term stability.

people say what they want to about Mike McCarthy but the packers were always competitive. Aaron Rodgers being hurt With no backup for awhile  of seasons much like Cam Killed his tenure.  Green Bay right now isn’t really doing better with their new coach.

those are things I see and I’m sure billion dollar analytics man is also.

Lol, McCarthy is literally an offensive version of what we've already had.

If this was politics each coach could be Democrat, Republican, or Independent, but their actual stance on everything is so moderate that you wouldn't be able to differentiate them from one another if you removed their otherwise meaningless labels.

Let me get this straight... Part of peoples issue with Ron was that he had a Hall of Fame talent at Quarterback and was only able to make it to 1 superbowl, and you want to replace him with a coach who had probably the most talented Quarterback ever and only won 1 superbowl? I mean credit to him for winning the game when he got there, but seriously?

Granted GB was more consistent than we have been, but I attribute a lot of that to the fact that they played in the NFC North, and Ted Thompson managed to, at times, put some weapons around Rodgers.

Hard Pass on McCarthy.

Well in all fairness, the only coach that has done better the last 20 years is Bill Belicheck.

The only other is New York Giants with Eli Manning.

The closest thing otherwise was Pete Carroll with Russell Wilson and the Legion of Boom.

the Steelers went to 2 Superbowls and won 1 under Tomlin if you are not counting Bill Cowhers.

the Broncos went to 2 with aw shucks but with 2 different coaches.

I would love to be a team that says they can go to the Super Bowl 2 times out of 10 years and be in 4 NFC Championships and playoffs all but 2 years like the Packers under McCarthy

I hear you. I'm pretty sure they only went to 1 superbowl though. And is hard to discern how much of their success was due to him and how much was due to having the most talented QB in history and playing a poor division. But you're right in that he was unquestionably successful.
