Mike did really good things in GB. I live up here and fans have good things to say about him but that it was just time to part ways. He kind of hit a wall and players weren’t responding. Sometimes a fresh start is what a coach needs. 
 

I wouldn’t be exactly thrilled if we hired him but I wouldn’t be pissed off if we did. He’s a step above mediocre imo.

I'm not sure whether to take the McCarthy speculation seriously yet or not.

Some of it could be just because he's available, but I don't buy that Tepper is so anxious to get another head coach in here that that he'll hire a guy now rather than wait four weeks.

That, plus McCarthy's name has come up for every head coaching job it's come open since he was fired.

The Packers were pretty darn good under McCarthy all but two or so years.  They were a consistent contender.  I don't fault them for firing him, but sometimes you just have to have a change of scenery
