Panthers likely targeting a college coach, my best guess

Dabo is a goddamn fuging moron and the biggest piece of poo in college football this side of nick saban

he has the best resources in the country, in part because he sucks so much evangelical cock. clemson's football program is drowning in jesus money and he is the primary reason why. they baptize clemson recruits and players at midfield in giant ice baths. its fuging weird

on top of that the economic boom that the greenville spartanburg area is experience as they have entered modernity has flowed almost exclusively into like crossfit gyms and the clemson football department. Clemson likely has top four football facilities in the country, up there with LSU, Oregon, and Alabama. (Also Arkansas' which Ryan Mallett famously claimed were nicer than the cincinnati bengals'). Players at Clemson get complimentary chef prepared meals with perfect macros. once they're done training in the best facilities money can buy, they ride their complimentary scooters over to their player exclusive relaxation facility, complete with on call masseuses, acupuncturists, video game arcades, and anything else you could conceivably think of some 19 year old wanting. poo, there's even a lazy river exclusive to the football players (and whatever girl they can sneak in though that's strictly forbidden and against the shining light of the lord wink wink)

Clemson essentially bribes their players, and yet dabo still has the audacity to claim he'll retire in disgust when players start collecting pay checks.

What about coaching? That thing that Dabo does none of? Clemson has the highest paid coordinators in the country. Jeff Scott made over a million dollars last year after bonuses. Brent Venabels made around 2.5 million to be defensive coordinator, making him one of the highest paid coaches in the country AS A COORDINATOR.

So yeah, that's not going to translate into the pros at all.

What about recruiting? That thing that took Dabo a fuging decade to get good at because the evangelicals kept him there? Well at this point it's become self sustaining. Players understand that they'll go to clemson, compete for a national championship, play a cupcake schedule, have on call blowjobs from asian masseuses (in a very christian way of course) and get drafted in the first. Dabo just shows up, screams about jesus for thirty minutes, then the recruit figures out where they'll get on the field fastest between OSU, Clemson, Alabama, and LSU.

None of this translates to the NFL. Players would fuging laugh at him there. He wouldn't be able to recruit players to sign with the Panthers. He wouldn't be able to scare them into complying since all the players have already made it and they would make more than him anyway. He can't talk to adults because he's an autistic jesus freak. And lets just say his politics are a little regressive. He threatened his football players with going to the white house with the understanding that if they said no they would never play. Notice that not a single player going to get drafted showed up to that pitiful fast food party? How it was just undersized white kids grabbing as many double cheese burgers as they could? Yeah those were the bums that are terrified of him and hope to one day take part in the victory formation. The dude is a nazi. And if you read that and you feel personally attacked good; fug you.

He would be the largest, most embarrassing failure in NFL history and he is everything that is wrong with college football.

In closing fug Dabo, fug Clemson, fug their fans, and fug every single poster on this board who waddles into every thread going "well why dont we just go get dabo" because you don't know fug about poo.

Image result for dabo swinney retarded

Not gonna comment on the veracity of anything you said but, damn baw, what a rant!

Just damn!  Much respect, lol!

Matt Rhule is .500 overall at Baylor, in the conference, and 1-1 overall in the post-season.  Seems perfect.

he's at fuging baylor

he's going to be like the ninth recruiting choice of kids from texas

to have success at baylor as art briles showed you basically have to advertise yourself as a rape camp while emptying out the prisons

So it isn't difficult to surmise after yesterday's press conference that David Tepper wants to get a good long look at college coaches and he wants to be among the first to do so. Firing Ron yesterday allows him to freely and openly make calls to college coaches. Word would have quickly gotten back to Ron if Tepper started making phone calls. The right thing to do was to let him go and openly search for a new head coach.

What we can infer about a David Tepper head coach prospect;

- A coach open to analytics. This indicates a younger mindset and not old school go with your gut. (Ok Boomer)

- An offensive mind. Tepper has stated the trend currently is an offensive coach. Likely because the current NFL rules favor the offense so heavily.

One guy that fits this description perfectly is Baylor's head coach Matt Rhule. Here is a brief rundown of his qualifications...

- Former college player

- 20 years coaching experience

- OL coach under Tom Coughlin

- Has been positions coach on both sides of the ball, including QB.

- Turned Baylor's program around quickly from door mat to conference contender. Went from 1-11 to 11-1 in two years.

- All of this and is only 44 years old.

Pair Rhule with Scott Turner as OC and the Carolina Panthers could have a solid coaching staff ready to rebuild on day 1.

If we can get Lincoln Riley and Cowgirls get Rivera, just imagine that. But it hasn’t even been a full 24 hours yet since Ron was fired. I’ve seen McDaniels, Harbaugh and McCarthy smokes already. And now this

They aren't recruiting any better than they did under the previous head coach or the head coaches before that. Hiring Mack was less about on the field success than it was reinvigorating a disinterested fanbase and placating boosters who rightfully associated him with the glory years of UNC football. Unfortunately, there is likely to be a limit on his success, as he is another in the "game has passed him by" head coaches. If they invest in good coordinators(which they largely have) it could give them a boost. It certainly helps that they are in the worst division in P5, which will afford lots of opportunities to pad wins.

However, you also have to look at the fact that with an already talented roster(featuring potentially best QB they have had in 20+ years), they only mustered a 6-6 record versus a weak schedule. This was a lot of why Mack ended up getting fired from Texas, because he was doing less with more.

Pragmatically, he should be looked at as a bridge to making it a much more marketable football school to a future coach(likely in the next 3-5 years). But, as with all things college football, that will also take a legitimate investment of resources to be a legitimate contender. College football is 100% pay to play. You need to invest massive sums into facilities, coaches and players to get top tier results in a P5 conference. It's the most unequal revenue sport in college and far more unequal than any major professional American sport.

Lets see how many 5 star recruits Mack brings in (1) so far. He is the reason Howell flipped his recruitment, and he continues to steal instate recruits. There is enough talent in this state to field a National Champion college team. I know I have coached here. He may do less with more, but if he lands recruits they will win period. It is hard to wipe the Fedora stink off of Carolina to local kids. He did not reach them. Besides Longo and Bateman are running the team, Mack is just the facilitator. Jay Bateman will be a head coach one day soon, count on it. Also, it is hard to say winning a National Championship is doing less with more.

He's done a pretty decent job with this class but I wouldn't expect too much in the long term. Real football schools know that NC is a good place to recruit because no program in the state(save App. St.) can show any real sustained track record of success. That's why SEC schools are able to come in and land the top recruits in the state. Watch next year(2021 class) when NC is supposed to have one of the strongest classes in recent memory and watch how many football factory schools end up with NC kids.

That's why none of the in state schools will likely ever see the kind of success that those schools do, we don't spend unlimited resources on them nor have fan bases clamoring for results. It's a basketball state and it always will be.
