Drew Brees is playing for the passing record and the Saints are playing for a winning season.

I think Brees needs 401 passing yards to break the record. If he wants to do that, the Saints will have to throw every time. They won't win that way.

So do we really want to lose to the Saints only to play on the road throughout the playoffs? We haven't been exactly a great road team this year.

No. If we lose, we'd become the #5 seed and have to play the #4 seed. Arizona, as the #3 seed would play the #6 seed. :yesnod:

We clinch the number two seed with a win or an Atlanta loss. We can lose and if Atlanta loses we still have the #2 seed. How does a 10-6 Atlanta win the NFC south over a 11-5 Carolina? They don't.

Arizona won the NFC West, pretty much by default. They are automatically the #3 seed.

Who knows what the Saints will do at home. I do think that the Green Bay and the Giants games showed that we can play on the road. I think we will be ready to play. As for the dome, Jake hasn't lost in New Orleans. I don't think it will be easy and I don't think it is automatic that we win. Still I think we are playing some of our best ball right now so I think we can play on the road or home. Injuries to key guys like Kemo obviously hurt us against a run team like the Giants. I doubt it would have been that bad against a team like NO that passes all the time. We know NO will score points. The question is whether they can stop us. We will likely score 30 points or so. Should be a game.

Back to the OP, I think Arizona is "one and done" in the playoffs regardless of who they play. The Bears still have a shot at winning the NFC North with a Vikings loss and a Bears win next week.

I think it will be a really tough test on Sunday. Saints will play hard to become a spoiler for us. However if we win on Sunday we will be in great shape for the playoffs with a return to NY and a NFCCG which we will win.

The highest ranked seed of the winners in the wild card round. The Giants would get the lesser ranked seed.
