I really like Ron. But he had once in a generation talent at QB, LB, and RB all on the team at the same time and pissed it away. That is tough to get past

Im not sure he did piss it away. He took us to a superbowl that we had a chance to win if cam would have jumped on the ball. We almost had it.

Im not saying i dont agtee with the firing, but i think most of the huddle is reactiinart and doesnt think. You only have a 1 in 16 chance to go to a superbowl every year, how many did you giys expect him to win? I guess you guys wont be happy until we get bill belichik. Truth is that we might go through 3 or 4 coaches before we find one better than ron.  This team is rebuilding now.

If Cam would have jumped on the ball?  Did you watch the rest of the game?

Yes. We were completely in that game up until that point. Ron didnt coach his best game, but im just saying that there are dozens of coaches who havent even been to a superbowl in the past 9 years. Nothing will satisfy you people until bill belichik himself comes to coach for us. It is going to suck if we cant find a good coach. We can certainly do worse than ron.

Yeah....the Superbowl is on Cam not jumping on the ball......dude had 0.03 seconds to throw the ball before Miller was in the backfield making him run for his life nearly every single snap....but yes, its ALL Cam's fault we lost the game.  So, you are fine with season after season after season of mediocrity because "it could be worse"?  What a loser fuggin mentality this fan base has

Well we are going to be losing for at least the next 3 years because we aree rebuilding. Ive been watching and playing football all of my life. I know there is a high probablility that we may go through 3 or 4 coaches before we find the right fit.

Ron was a good coach. His problem is that he got complacent. Im willing to be that if he lands in a decent spot he will be in the playoffs before carolina will be

    • This is factually incorrect. He was a two time Pro Bowler with the Rams and in fact statistically he was better with the Rams in his best season there than he has been with the Lions(could change with this season). Some of his per game stats have creeped into being marginally better with the Lions but there have not been dramatic differences in his play, actually. The biggest reason that McVay and he ended up splitting was McVay didn't think he could win a title with Goff. TBH.....so far he was 100% correct. Stafford almost immediately won them a SB and Goff in a historic run was about 70% of the reason the Lions faltered in the NFC championship game. He missed critical throws all over the first half and throughout the second half that he normally wouldn't. He choked. So, until Goff actually does win a SB...McVay has been right.
    • they have the best defense they've had in a long time...probably the best in the reid/mahommes era.  but i think they are probably the most beatable they've been in a while as well. record doesn't exactly bear that out, but they just don't look as strong on offense as they usually do. lots of reasons for that, like trying to build chemistry with newer receivers, but right now they just aren't as frightening as they typically are. i mean they'll probably win tomorrow, but i don't see them as the strongest team in the AFC right now.
    • He will likely remain unsigned the remainder of this season(barring someone being in a pure QB panic AND making poor decisions) largely due to the cost. I do think he will get multiple offers to be a backup QB and perhaps a couple to potentially start this offseason.  I will continue to beat the same horse over and over.....he should go to a successful team with an established starter. If I were him, go to somewhere like SF, LAR, etc. Somewhere with a successful QB coach and brilliant offensive mind and ALSO a set situation at QB. Ride the pine and adjust for a year or two. Chill and be around better culture. I would suggest the same for Bryce but he will be limited to wherever we can trade him.
