Im not a big fan of Colbert. I would like him as VP but not the GM. Some of his recent drafts has been mediocre to terrible

I dont think Colbert is going to come over and work under Hurney, we know this for sure because it's been confirmed that Hurney will be involved in the assistant gm interviews and hiring process.

All still speculation, but in this case speculation that makes an awful lot of sense.

I would absolutely love to have Colbert associated with this franchise in any way, shape or form possible.

I very much highly doubt that Colbert or anyone major is going to come on board and work under Hurney. We know this to be the case because Hurney is going to be hiring.

I can't believe that, Hurney wouldn't get a sniff on another roster Im honestly so confused with what Tepper is thinking there, no way he's going to let Hurney be the main decision maker there is just no way

Hurney's going to be "involved".

"Involved" is an extremely flexible word.

Tepper has already said that he will. Exact words were Hurney will be part of the process in hiring the new assistant gm. Earlier before that post Person confirmed that Hurney will remain GM. The writing is on the wall for all you. I told everyone months ago that even if Rivera was fired that Hurney would survive and help in the next process of finding a new coach. 

 

Tepper has confirmed its not just him doing the search but an internal panel put together to make the decision on the next coach.   If Hurney is involved with assistant gm/vp then I'd guess hes also on that panel as well.

"Part of the process" is a long way from being in charge of it.

Heck, sitting in the corner taking notes is technically "part of the process".
