Maybe, maybe not.  So far all signs point to Tepp meddling and we all know how that turns out for owners that do that.

From the looks of the video and from Tepper's words it sounds like the firing was probably the saddest moment you can imagine. I believe Tepper liked and respected Rivera. I can only imagine how the players and rest of the people in the building feel. Despite what douchebags want to say, he was respected and admired. He's the only coach a lot of our guys have ever known and some, like Greg and Luke have played for him for a long time now. He's a huge part of our culture here and I'm sure it's an awful feeling to lose him.

Everything I'm seeing him say about Hurney makes me think he's going to limit Hurney's scope of influence to college scouting and give the responsibility for overall roster building to someone else.

I would have no issue with this whatsoever.

This is the most important thing I have read yet. Hire someone who will make adjustments. In game management is critical. This tells you that Ron did not own his mistakes.

Also, sounds like they've reevaluated things regarding Cam.  If they're hoping he's healthy next year, then they're hoping he's here next year.
