He got his start as an offensive line coach...in 1995...with the carolina panthers.

to me its not so much innovation that appeals to me about roman, but that he's extremely willing to cater his offense around the talent he has rather than deciding "boy i really want to do this air crayola thing from san diego, i'll go ahead and install that and maybe the mobile freight train qb i draft will excel in it, no need to actually design an offense around him"
