since i read this thread i've been dragging my feet around the house somberly thinking about jason garrett getting hired here. i would feel like someone put a back pack with 9 bowling balls on my back and told me that's my new life forever

This definitely seems highly likely.  No doubt he felt the heat was hotter than ever before and knew he was done at season's end anyway and after Sunday, it was probably clear to him that he lost the team.

I'd also like to point out, his presser Monday was the most accountability I have ever heard from Ron, EVER.  So, there was definitely a sense something had changed behind the curtain.

Not a lot of superlatives on that list. However, I think those odds on Roman are too long. I would be willing to put some money on him. That offense that he has customized to the skills of Jackson and surrounding talent is impressive. He might be the first high school coach to become an NFL head coach.

Innovation? Roman isn't doing anything fancy, he's just got the best QB in the nfl this year. I mean paul johnson was complimenting his playcalling and he literally runs the triple option.

And it's not like he's some young buck.

He got his start as an offensive line coach...in 1995...with the carolina panthers.
