Midseason firing couldn't happen to a better person. Maybe he will take one final shot at his players. At least he's got his two time Coach of the Year awards though!!

Honestly this comes off like a tantrum reaction, and doesn't reflect well on ownership's temperament.

When you realize that you made a big mistake by keeping him this season, it's best to go ahead and end it as soon as you feel it's best for the team moving forward.

Tepper is basically admitting that he F'd up by keeping Ron and Marty this season.

IDK. You can kind of gauge whether it is the pieces or the coaching from here on out more specifically (hard to type with a broken hand lol!).

Good, that said I will no longer spend any time bagging on Ron Rivera. The guy has done a lot of good here as well and doesn't deserve to be bagged on at this time. Good luck to him wherever he ends up going next season

I'm honestly shocked. There's just no other word for it. I guess it really is a new era in Charlotte!

But it's bittersweet. I actually am sad to see Ron go. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and he brought us some good years. But it's absolutely time for a regime change.

 

I wish him the best, and I've always thought, and still believe, Ron Rivera will win a Championship as a Defensive Coordinator. He's just not Head Coach material, and we didn't have any more time to let him try to develop into one.

Take care, Ron! Wish you the best. But I'm so f***ing excited about the possibilities! Maybe we'll be better. We'll probably be worse for a while. But for the first time in a long time I don't know what our upward potential is, and that's got me so amped!!!
