RUMOR: Josh McDaniel and Pats exec Nick Caserio rumored to be in the running for CM/HC jobs in Carolina

Hoping it's their agents tossing it out there because Josh is trash. The fact that Josh has failed once horribly and burnt another is enough for me to think this is first to what I assume will be a crowded line of possibilities.

I honestly would not want any Bill Belichick disciples as head coaches. The track record is pretty poor.

You could hire the greatest coaching mind in NFL history and ask him to come up with a plan to get himself fired within 30 days of his hiring, without ever stepping foot on the field and that person could not come up with a plan any better than what McDaniels executed in Denver. 

Since he left Indy at the altar almost two years ago, everybody has speculated he is the Pats heir-apparent.  Unless Belichick has announced he is going to continue coaching the Pats for the next 20 years, I am trying to wrap my head around why he would move on.  Mind you, I think following a guy like Belichick is setting yourself up for failure, but in McDaniels' case it has been the only gig he has done well with and it is what he has apparently been groomed for.  His leash there is probably longer than it would be anywhere else, especially after Denver's debacle.

He is not exactly my favorite possibility.
