If you read the Op, you would know the thread is tongue in cheek and he/we don’t want to keep Hurney, but the discussion was about Hurney’s 1st round track record and you declared non specifically that he sucks. Given the threads topic to that point, the implication whether you intended it or not was that his first round track record sucks.

I agree that overall he should go, but I’m willing to give him credit for a solid round one track record. I know that nuance is anethema on the internet, but screw it, I’ve had two whole beers, we’re throwing caution to the wind and doing nuance tonite.

Gettleman's drafts mostly made me sick. Hurney's drafts I at least understood even if I didn't agree with the pick. If there is a better GM floating around out there then snap him up and dump Hurney back into obscurity. I really don't care as long as we fix this dumpster fire of injuries and under performance.

Maybe I said something about a linebacker or our punt coverage or something like that which, through a series of events, led to this guy making his statements about Gettleman being forced to pick McCaffrey.

Like I said, please show me the multiple GMS that suck at drafting in the 1st round. The 1st round is almost a hit and no miss. The great GMs are the ones that can hit gold in the rounds after the 1st. 
 

Peppers 2nd pick

Gross 8th pick 

Davis 14th 

Stewart 13th

Cam 1st

Luke 9th

Burns 16th

All of those guys are top 16 picks. 
 

Dwill (27th) and Beason (25th) were low 1st rounders but RB and LB are positions that are likely to succeed and make impact early. Gamble is the only low pick 1st rounder of Hurney’s that I will give him credit for. Moore was the 24th pick but he was the first WR to be drafted. Dave Gettleman did just as good a job as Hurney. Y’all act like Hurney is God.
