If Ron is retained...

We've gone from a team in 2015 where reporters were saying our opponents needed days to recover from the physicality we imposed to a 2 win team slicing through us like butter.

This to me is the main reason we need a new coach/FO. We didn’t acquire the right talent, and the talent we did have Ron couldn’t scheme/motivate.

There are not many that I don't want gone. Maybe Chase Blackburn and maybe Mills. If them going is the price of every other position from GM down being gone, then I will sleep just fine. JR and his values and ways of operating need to burn, be salted and then bleached.

As I said, I can deal with it if Hurney and the medical staff are canned and Ron gets 1 year with a top notch medical staff and a health team that doesn’t let players play with career threatening injuries.

Their medical clearance very well might’ve ended Daryl Williams and Cam Newton’s career.

Is that you Ron?

If he is retained get use to seeing a half empty stadium. And the team will have a top 5 draft pick as long as Rivera is the head coach. When is Tepper going to get rid of this fool.

Tbh. The stadium was half empty when the Titans game happened. We were 4-3 and right where we needed to be to catch the saints. This fanbase is 30% Camther and the people won’t admit it. I watched us at home with losing records with greater crowds when Cam is playing.

The issue with firing Ron AND Hurney is now a man who has ZERO experience making football hires is now tasks with essentially replacing his top to bottom team managers.... I’m telling you right now you might as well get ready... Ron is a proven NFL coach... Marty isn’t a proven GM...

Marty will be fired in January and Ron will be told you have one season to get this $hit right... if not you’re defiantly done... only way I see both being fired is Tepper has a GM verbally agreed with who is already halfway talking to a potential HC. This is why mid-season firing Ron wouldn’t of been unreasonable... there is one coach we can communicate with and not tamper.... Jim Harbaugh...

I wish we’d fire Ron and pay that buyout and get Jim here for Sunday’s game... going 9-7 this year would make me feel great about next year knowing we got a shot to break the back-to-back curse... JH also knows Seattle, so we would have a chance that game... that’s the reason I halfway hope we keep Ron, JH will definitely be out of Ann Arbor in 2020... the best coach to likely be on the market will be Jason Garrett... we’re gonna suck in 2020 either way.

This fan base is pretty wimpy as a whole.  I grew up near DC and was a Redskins fan until 1995.  Shins fans were fanatic and the stadium was always full regardless of the teams record.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen BOA without 100’s of empty seats outside of a few playoff games.

They both have proven 2 years in a row to be mediocer. If JR was here I would agree with you about Ron. He's not and Ron and Marty should be gone. Tepper is not like JR, he would spend cash to make somethong happen, just look at the fact he put up a domw for practice vs going into a hotel. Tepper is also about to make a lot of money developing around his new team facility in SC.

It could be awesome out of the gate or have a painfull learning curve going forward. Im fine with all that as long as its a complete, or nesrly, house cleaning. Its time. Just like with players, a change of scenery is necisary and sometimes unavoidable.

My guess, look to Fox at what Ron is

The issue is... if both are fired in January, you reasonably have to have a new staff by February or March to be ready for the NFL draft... how is Tepper going to get a new GM and new coach in 2-3 months? One will be a task. I could see the coach being fired and. Hiring a new one and Marty being terminated in a similar fashion to Gettleman, after the draft. It is too late to go into the season with a new GM... firing Ron AND Hurney is a death sentence to the 2020 season... if you choose Cam as your future as well, youre asking him to come back from injury, learn a new system, and succeed on a one year deal. Hurney will be fired, Ron won’t. This same crap was coming out at the end of last season... the fact Ron is still here after that show says a lot... that is humiliation to this organization.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
