Rivera: “The guys are trying”

Its kind of sad. I like rivera as a person and he obviously likes it in Carolina and wants to keep hos job. I just think that he is seeing the door close before his eyes. He will het another head coaching gig somewhere else though and i think it will be good for him. I think he is a coach that will make the playoffs multiple more times but his time in csrolina has run its course. Maybe with his next gig he will have learned to never be complacent and thay he always has to be riverboat ron, not just when his seat is hot.

Is it just me, or is this not good for a coach to say publicly:

”You look at the mix of players they have had to deal with, the guys (they) have tried to work with”

Way to instill confidence in your young players Ron.

You tried and did your best is what you want a coach to tell a JV or High school team. That's not good enough when you're dealing with professionals.
