Agree with this take.  No good comes from bringing Kaepernick into the mix. 

Besides, Kaep is not really that good.  The best thing he has ever done in the NFL is his stance and kneeling protest but that is not a reason to sign a bad QB to the roster.  We already have bad QBs...

We'd foolish to not look into reuniting Harbaugh, Roman, and Kaepernick, and running a heavy zone read offense

He might be a limited passer, but he's one of the best runners at the QB position in NFL history, and has so little mileage on him, and has taken so few hits, he's still as fast and fresh as ever

If you think the NFL has 'figured out' how to stop the zone read, you haven't been paying attention to the NFL this year

He got benched for Gabbert by new coaches who didn't know how to utilize his skillset
