“Ron Rivera is such a nice guy”

This does not matter.

This does not matter.

This does not matter.

This does not matter.

This does not matter.

You have probably been fired from a job before and didn’t make anywhere near what Ron Rivera is making. And you still managed to come out of it okay, didn’t you? It didn’t reflect on you as a person, did it?

So let me say this again: it does not matter if Ron Rivera is a nice guy or not. It. Does. Not. Matter.

One of the biggest problem this organization has is that it focuses too much on family and loyalty and not on being an actual good team.. its really out of balance imo.

Is it really so bad to let the guy finish the season? Why would a good coach want to come to carolina if he thinks tepper will fire him as soon as the fan base has a fit. The new coach needs assurances that he will have at least 2 to 3 years to build his vision on the field. Hiring a coach is a long term i vestme t... unless you want to be oakland or the browns and only hire turds because winners know their franchises dont have any patience.

Um, Ron hasn't had 3 years.

He's a lot closer to ten years here than he is to three.

Yes. But tepper is what i am talking about. If tepper fires a guy mid season, he is telli g the next coach that he can be fired just to satisfy a fan base and that he may not be given enouhh time to build his vision. A great coach with multiple options would rather coach for a more reliable and stable franchise.

You have to look at it from the new coaches perspective... go to a team like carolina or the browns that will fire you mid season. Or go to a team like pittsburg or dallas that gives their coaches enough time to build their roster. That process takes a few years... our new coach isnt going to win next year... this team has to have a whole new oline and numerous other peices before we can compete again, most likely a new qb too.

There will be around 8 NFL head coaching jobs open this off-season.  One of which will be with the team with the richest owner in the entire NFL.  All of these positions will have salaries in the millions.

What happened in 2019?  Ron who?

I just don't like Ron's blueprint for creating a winning team. Seeing what Payton can do with the Saints has made me jealous. I want an offensive head coach and a high powered offense. That is not a pipe dream or too much to ask. I am sick of Fox ball, and it's dumber cousin Ron ball. I don't give a poo about "build the front 7 with 1st rounders" bullshit. No more. Enough. Offense. Fix it.

I've been watching football for nearly fifty years now, and I can honestly say I can't recall a single time where I saw a head coaching candidate say "you know what, I'm gonna take my name out of consideration for that job cause I think they were rude to fire that last guy the way they did".
