No decision on changes until after the season

How is keeping a lame duck coach the right move? He has clearly failed as both a coach and a defensive specialist, players have stopped responding to him. And why keep Hurney around? His terrible personnel decisions are at the root of what’s wrong with this team.

I'll ask it again because no one will answer...

How does keeping Ron help us?  Did it help today?  What about last week?  Stop pretending to be so smart like this is some intelligent level headed decision.  It only hurts the fans more.

If this is true then I’m really f’ing pissed. The f’ing season is over, no miracle December run and playoff berth. The team is not responding to Ron and looks lifeless.

Sp you want someone to come in and win a few meaningless games, screwing our draft position and at the same time disrespecting an honorable man who is going to be fired in 5 weeks anyway?

If we want a good long term coach, we need to show class and send rivera home in a respectful fashion. It is in our best interests to just tank the rest of the season with ron at the helm. He isnt going to win another game anyway.

Hurney needs to absolutely go.  It will be up to the next GM what he wants to do with Rivera, and I suspect the roster deficiencies in addition to the lack of decent replacements will at minimum result in coach being allowed to finish his contract out as the next GM evaluates him for an extension, much to the chagrin of most of this board.

Do we even care anymore

Not really honestly. I’m just here for the memes at this point. This season has sucked the life out of the franchise. We need a change. Badly. And Cam back if he’s healthy and ready to go. It’s obvious to me he brings the juice to the whole team. Without him they’re usually dead.

I don’t get the upside of firing them now and having a “lame duck” interim coach and interim GM.

Don't let Ron off the hook on this defense. This is his D. Make him see it through. There's no competitive advantage to firing him now.

Is competitive advantage even a question at this point though?

Is it doing him a favor to let him twist in the wind and force him to keep doing the job that he knows in all likelihood he's going to lose at the end of the season?
