How does keeping Ron help us?  Did it help today?  What about last week?  Stop pretending to be so smart like this is some intelligent level headed decision.  It only hurts the fans more.

The only way I think Tepper changes his mind to wait is if the team just lays down. If the last few games are completely lopsided, he may decide to pull the plug earlier than season's end.

If we want a good long term coach, we need to show class and send rivera home in a respectful fashion. It is in our best interests to just tank the rest of the season with ron at the helm. He isnt going to win another game anyway.

We need to get the 49ers D Coordinator Robert Saleh before someone else does. He is young (like 40 I think) and dude looks like a badass.

I don't 100% agree but its not a bad choice. Fans will have to feel the angst for the next couple weeks but whether RR is here fired now or later it wouldn't change anything.

Hurney needs to absolutely go.  It will be up to the next GM what he wants to do with Rivera, and I suspect the roster deficiencies in addition to the lack of decent replacements will at minimum result in coach being allowed to finish his contract out as the next GM evaluates him for an extension, much to the chagrin of most of this board.

I don’t get the upside of firing them now and having a “lame duck” interim coach and interim GM.
