Despite playing in Ron’s scheme that allows his lb’s to get mauled...
With seven tackles Sunday, Luke Kuechly surpassed 100 tackles for the eighth straight year. He's the fifth player since NFL started tracking them to reach 100 tackles eight years in a row.

our defense (before this dumb switch to a 3-4 hybrid) was predominantly a 4-3 based around having great LB play, 2013 was arguably the best LB duo ever statistically. luke has been greatily helped by ron's scheme, not hurt by it.

He was referring to this season, which is an awful scheme and has contributed directly to Luke looking awful at times.

Sadly, he looks out of place out there.  A lot of tackles are several yards down the field, and he's getting exposed in the passing game.

regarding the 3-4 switch i still have no idea why ron thought that'd be a good move, hate on him as much as you'd like to but the man was a great defensive playcaller and it's like he's almost too nice to call plays and wants the team ran like the team he played for (the bears) where ditka was just a motivator and the coordinators did a lot of the heavy lifting. when he took the reigns from washington last year he held the aints to 12 points and if i recall we had one of the better defenses in terms of point allowed in that stretch. i've never quite gotten it, he's let inept clowns like eric washington, and ok but not as good as rivera playcallers like wilks call the defense ever since mcdermott left and became a top 10 coach in the league.
