Why is this a CMC issue though? The man excels at literally everything else, so is it not fair to instead acknowledge the truth of coaching and front office failing to have an alternative to mitigate a known weakness?

You think mccaffery is as physical as LaDainan Tomlinson?  

I don't see it, outside their abilities to catch the football and I do think cmc is the best I have ever seen in that area. But as far as running the ball I think LT outclasses him.

Why is LaDainian's name coming up?

Tomlinson was more often than not a one man wrecking crew. 28 touchdowns in a single season...

I appreciate CMC as much as the next guy, but this is a 5 win team, and we have lost multiple games now with the ball in our hands and the tie or the win right in front of us. That's the sobering reality.

Because Mr. Scot said CmC reminds him of Ladianian Tomlinson and I disagreed. I think Tomlinson was money in the redzone.. most of his 28 touchdowns came in the redzone. If CmC has any weakness it's when hes forced to play in a phone booth. Which is the point of my post.

Now I want all the Cam fans (myself included) to look at this.  This is the same nonsensical trash this same fan base was saying about Cam.  Find 1 crack in his game and act like that's the reason our whole franchise sucks.  Its not race, its stupidity.  And these 2 really illustrate the point.

Dude shut up. I'm the biggest Cam homer on this board. Acknowledging a players weaknesses doesn't mean he sucks. It means hes limited when forced in a closed in space situation. They even showed you a montage after* he for stuff 2 times from the one this game of all the games we have lost or he came up short in those situations. He got manhandled by Vernon Hargreaves against Tampa even when he had momentum and the edge vs a CORNERBACK one on one. That's just one of the times.

That said he is outstanding as a player.. the best running back I have ever seen at catching the football. But saying physicality isnt his game isnt a lie at all it's you being a homer and refusing to look at it as it is. He isnt gonna run over or power through many tackles period.

I never accused CMC of being a goal line back.  I'm accusing you of nitpicking yet another generational talent on this team because this Staff is so mind blowingly stupid that they keep throwing CMC at the goal line like he's Cam.

First off hes not a generational talent. Generational talents dont have big gaping weaknesses like this obvious goaline issue we keep ignoring he has. But it's not so much goaline as he isnt a really a physicality type player. Hes outstanding receiving and in space. I think hes a generation catching the ball out of the back field back. But is he generationally better than say Gurley was or Barkley when they were healthy running the ball? 

I digress tho I didn't mean to get into a where cmc isnt the best in the world at hes great. My point was that can we stop forcing him to run in a manner that doesn't fit his skillset. Stop forcing him to be a short yardage go geter.
