I don't see this as a knock on CMC.  This is us banging our head against the wall doing the same thing over and over with the D knowing whats coming.  Its not CMCs fault.

I criticized him too for his deep ball all year but this game actually proved to me he has the arm and just needs to work on placement. He’s 23, I was impressed. Not enough to have him start next year but he’s easily an above average back up.

Last year he was averaging less than 2 ypc in the redzone, so it’s no surprise 

 

Mccaffrey can’t do nothing about that, Norv just refuses to use any other back in short yardage. When Cam said Norv has Mccaffrey on his fantasy team I think he wasn’t kidding.

His deep ball is atrocious. He has no arm strength. They’re always weak wobbly floaters. WRs always have to come back to them. It’s not placement, it’s strength.

All true but a good short yardage back can still overcome bad blocking more often than he does, at least for a yard or two.

Like this is the elephant in the room. Bro’s a beast but the cost of our amazing hybrid weapon is that without Cam out there’s no one who can reliably pick up a yard when needed.

If you think that our OL has truly given CMC room to do anything today then you are insane. Our OL has zero push. They are garbage. Hurney ignored the interior OL and not only does it produce sacks against us, it creates a team who can’t punch it in up the gut from the 1. Washington had not issue doing that.

Dude that the whole point of goaline! There is never any room to run.. it's man on man and the stronger side wins. If you think I'm bagging on CMC you clearly missed where I said hes great in space. Your a fool if you dont acknowledge he is limited in goaline situation which he has proven time and time again.. what about that loss where it was one on one vs a damn corner Hargreaves for for bucs who had since been cut and cmc got stopped again. It's always a thing. This is just one area he is not great. 

He simply isn't perfect is all I'm admitting.
