3 winning season in 9 years says to me the good ole' days weren't that good.

Long past time for a fresh set of eyes to come in and rebuild this team from the ground up.

I sense uhaul bout to get real busy in Charlotte.

So yeah, we have personnel issues in some particularly crucial positions and a ton of defensive free agents. Trading Kuechly seems weirdly worth considering

No potential personnel moves should be off the table this off season.

Panthers have huge issues on both lines, until they are fixed this team will not be a serious contender.

Healthy Cam in 2011 and 2012 too, right? Facts are facts. Ron and Marty have been poo and Gettleman and Ron had much better results.

It’s not all Cam. How many games did a Short and Star led DL give up 200+ yards rushing?

You mean during a clear rebuild and cam’s first two seasons in the league? Common denominator is Rivera, I can’t take some of you serious who lay out a laundry list of why Rivera is a bad coach just to turn around and blame it on the gm, the dude has 4-5 first round picks in the DL yet the run defense is at its worst again.

how many games were short and star playing in this hybrid 3-4 bs we’re running ? Facts are facts but facts without contexts is deception

Yeah. In the secondary, too. Three worst places to have to fix all at once.

I'm not sure Bradberry and Thompson should be paid those market contracts they're both going to demand either.

Bradberry started off great but has been up and down, the same as his entire career. I honestly think the team could upgrade at corner if they saved money by not signing him to huge money. I'm just not on his bandwagon, no offense to him.

Shaq isn't perfect and i feel like he's replaceable too, possibly by someone on the roster already, but he's versatile and that counts for something.

I think we need to pick one or the other between KK and Gerald, then draft someone like Derrick Brown to replace Poe and Butler.

Gettleman sucked too

He did.

But as bad as he was.  Someone still wanted him.  He picked a job up right away.

Hurney didnt even get a phone call from 31 other teams.

So what does that tell you.

Guessing some of these Marty defenders are either

A.  Related to Richardson

Or

B.  Think they are better than everyone and every position in the NFL who didnt even consider him for any position.

We're just like every other team in the league and are in the market for corners. We also are perpetually stuck looking for a safety. I don't mind trading down a lot coming up in the next draft or just drafting boring players at familiar positions, like guard and tackle, because the team could use it.

    • If my reply comes off argumentative, that is not my intention so please don’t take it as such.  You said one word, probably subconsciously, in your post that immediately disqualifies him from being a QB in the NFL. You actually said it twice. Kid. It’s exactly how you see him, and exactly how the rest of the entire NFL sees him as well.  Yes, he is a kid, he looks and acts like a kid and that exactly IS the problem. The NFL is for grown ass men. Period. Hell, our kicker looks like he collects ‘taxes’ as a side hustle. These are straight dudes. Men.  Nothing in his persona changed from last year to this.  Nothing in his physical stature. Nothing. He has shown 0 development. 0. And he disrespects the entire organization, talking video games and Netflix in the offseason. Bro. Really. My man Chuba is busting his ass to look good for his second contract. Set himself up for life. How many RBs make it to even sign contract #3? First 2 games he has to run in to a brick wall continuously because Netflix can’t even get it over the LOS.  He’s a kid who pulled off the biggest heist in world history. He looks happier on the sideline goofing around than he ever has looked on the field. It’s time to cut bait.
    • I hear you and I can imagine it's frustrating as a fan, but UNC-CH leaving the ACC would be throwing away over a century of history. It would really suck if y'all, or Clemson, or any of the other remaining charter members leave. I still think it sucks that Maryland left as well. Feels so wrong not having that rivalry anymore. Maryland fuging hated us and I loved it. Who's Maryland's rival now in the big 10? Rutgers? lol. Also, I think that the Heels are more likely to be Kentucky 2.0 than you are to get serious about football upon joining the SEC. Both UNC (and also Duke's) administrations seem very stuck in their ways with sticking to their ways and remaining basketball powerhouses. I do wish we could see NC teams actually competing in my favorite sport sometimes but alas. I personally value keeping our history intact over trying to become top flight CFB programs because nowadays it's just a pay to win sport anyways. Even if UNC-CH got serious I doubt they could compete with that Texas oil money, or that Oregon nike money, or that USC rich kid money. That's all top level college football really is anymore. You're either an established blue blood or you're willing to waste tons of money that could be spent on education rather than football.
    • Maybe a move to the SEC forces UNC to be more serious about football?   I mean we should be making noise in the weak ACC and we can't even do that. How is Duke better than UNC in football right now? It's honestly sad and pathetic.   It doesn't matter if we get another great QB as you said a QB doesn't mean you have a great roster. A QB can only do so much. We lack elite guys in the trenches. That's how you build a program. It starts up front.
