yeah lets have like 5 draft spots over beating the absolute trashiest, dirty organization and fanbase in football. god some of you people just have no dignity; you guys want this team to lose, not punch rivals and people in the mouths it seems. go 6-10 with a win over the saints, and we wont allow them to tie the all time series and still have a top 10 pick. unless yall want us to go from 5-3 to 5-11, which is even worse than last year.

Moral victories or ones for bragging rights gets us nowhere when our record vs the NFC south particular the Saints stays dog poo even with that one more win this season.

Fixed it for you.

P.S. A good number of exceptions over the years when Cam would Superman that poo over the goal line.

It wasn't just Cam though.  It was Ryan Kalil and Jonathan Stewart as well.  Jonathan would get hit behind the line of scrimage and still drag tacklers for a positive gain.  CMC is great, but he isn't Jonathan Stewart on those short yardage situations, and I think its high time management realized that.

I meant in the recent past, aka since we brought in RR and co.

the only way that record'll be fixed is by a new staff, and ron was pretty good against the rest of the division when he got here. i assume you mean the last 3 years, and yeah sure. i just dont want them taking that lead because i have an unkindled hatred for them myself, and i dont mind taking a slight draft fall to do so personally. it is objective the right move to lose out? sure but that's just not what teams do in the NFL and i disagree with the idea of tanking for draft positiion instead of at the very least beating rivals

I'm of the opinion that one sometimes needs to take a step back to move forward. Losing to the saints to secure a higher pick and a better shot of building an elite team will be better in the long run.

Stew was never a very good red-zone rushing threat in the Rivera Era.  And I don't even blame Stew here, it was just Rivera's idiotic idea of offensive schemes and how he wanted to play offensive football (which has always been very, very offensive to be honest).

Stew had 29 rushing TDs in the Rivera Era in 7 seasons.  That's averaging just about 4 rushing TDs per season.  In that same time period, Cam had 54 rushing TDs.

Our red-zone rushing threat under Rivera was Cam and it was pretty much exclusively Cam.  Let's not attempt to rewrite the history and facts here.

that's a fair point and i agree with it, i just make an exception to it because of the saints. i dont see us losing out though especially with DECEMBER RON appearing here soon. and its not like if we win one game we'll really drop super far, we'd probably still be picking top 10 if we go 6-10.

Your numbers don't mean he wasn't good, they just mean we used Cam more.   And I don't necessarily mean red zone, ie inside the 20.  I mean at the goal line.  Inside the 2.  We have actually done ok in the red zone this season when we could spread the field.  But when we are in a place where we need to over power the defense to get a yard or two, nada.
