why not? we have a mediocre, at best, backup QB starting, an OC that decided to put the game on his shoulders, and a piss poor defense.

Allen hasn't won a game when it was put on his shoulders yet. maybe that is what the staff is trying to see if he can do.  but we shouldn't expect a young backup to do that.  we have CMC for a reason

I'd actually say he played well enough to win last week. Unfortunately, our defense didn't.

He's proven that he's capable of really good performances. Unfortunately, he's also proven he's capable of stretches where I'm not really sure what he's thinking.

ronald was up 14...went into protect mode..

Anyone who still supports this clown are just dumb as dog poo.  Every time we get up about 2 scores I am convinced Ron says..."Welp, thats game....we got this.  Shut it down Norv" ( or whoever our poo play caller is that season ).  I have never seen a more conservative, mediocre coach than him.  Scared of his own fuggin shadow.

I'm still not sure you know that yet.

I've seen plenty of rookies look like crap through their entire first season and then come back looking strong in their second one.

That said, I wouldn't have enough confidence to go into next season with him as the primary guy, but this team has a maddening history of ignoring questions at quarterback.

(take not picking up a veteran quarterback this season, for example)

Just stop already. It is 100% shown. He was not a high round pick, he wasn’t a low round pick. There is a reason for that. 32 team evaluators looked at him and said he didn’t have it for any round. He came in and has more Turnovers then TDs and has been making mistakes other rookies don’t make. Yet maybe he can turn it around, the answer is no, the more tape on him the more he’s exposed keep him as a backup who sees maybe 1 game a year sure, keep him as someone who might start dear god no at that point blow it all up

No normal NFL player could take those hits that Cam did.  Cam is a beast, regardless of what these dumb haters have to say about him.  Dude took an absurd amount of punishment before he started breaking down.  If Allen started in 2011, he would have been retired since 2013.

Yeah but refs woulda protected Allen more than Cam.  It was open season on Cam's head for a long time.

    • Real Estate Developer here..  So I develop real estate, so I am inadvertently intertwined with real estate agents - I am not one.  I have a love/hate relationship with them.  The industry like most is dominated by the top 20%. The top 20% can make a 7 figure income, while the bottom 80% are mostly your average joes. There is no second place The thing to remember as an agent is that there is no second place. Either you get the listing/sale or you dont. You can be working with a perspective seller for ages, giving them free consulting advice or home valuations and at the last second they might choose another agent to list with.. cause thats their kids friends dad.. You did all the work - you get nothing.  As an agent you might even be working with a buyer for months trying to find the perfect house only for them to really just 'like looking' and never being serious - you get nothing.  The best (beginner) agents will sit on the phone all day long, talking to people, volunteering on community organizations and being out in the community as there is a 'guilt' factor with selecting one. If Agent Bob is on your church committee there is a higher chance than not that you will hire him over the agent you see in a bill board.   Once your successful.. Once you have made a name for yourself it gets easier. People just think of you because they have seen your sign or they know of someone that have used you. Eventually people just start calling you.  The easiest way to make money as an agent is to get the listing. Once you get the listing your only need to post the listing and now all the other agents are trying to find a buyer. The best way to get listings is to do all the things previously mentioned.    Its not fair.  Because there is no money for 2nd place, agents are known to try to steal listings, or they will offer less of a split commission. AKA The listing agent will get 4% the selling agent will get 2%.  When an agent lists the sale like that some buying agents will simply not show your home to their clients.. even it ifs what they are looking for. So as a home owner, you should ask how they intend to split the commission.  Years ago I hired the top agent in our area to sell my home. They sold it in 24 hours and I paid THOUSANDS in commissions. I mentioned how I thought it was kind of BS that he "did nothing" and I paid so much. His response was one that has stuck with me. He said, "when you hire me, you are paying for the 30+ years of experience that I have. Because of my experience I have a book of 30 people that are looking for a 500k home and 40 people looking for a 400k home. I can sell your home fast people I have built a book of business. That is what you are paying for"   So I would agree that I think that agents make too much money for what they do. But I also have seen far too many people get into real estate, only to quit and go back to their regular job because they always came in 2nd.  Happy to answer more questions if you have.
    • I think if he sucks we'll feel better about losing that pick. That's the solace. Such as it is.  It is strength on strength our O vs their D, and the other sides are weakness vs weakness. DJ will be motivated but they have to get it to him.
    • I'm still trying to figure out the gap between a Bryce Young and a Stetson Bennet in the eyes of media and scouting. Aside from age and off the field behavior they are essentially the same player.
