I've seen plenty of rookies look like crap through their entire first season and then come back looking strong in their second one.

That said, I wouldn't have enough confidence to go into next season with him as the primary guy, but this team has a maddening history of ignoring questions at quarterback.

(take not picking up a veteran quarterback this season, for example)
