Want me to jump on the Panthers' bandwagon? I just need to see 1 thing

I dont think he means "jumping on the bandwagon" like you guys are taking it.

He is not saying he will be a fan again.... He is saying he is "on the bandwagon" that this is a good football team.

The "bandwagon" he is refering too, is everyone thinking we are a top notch team again, and that Jake Delhomme is back to normal.

I don't think anyone that Jake is back to normal.

However, I do believe we are a very good football team....minus the QB play.

The numbers jake had yesterday were fine with me. He made the plays that we asked him to make. If he had not made the God Awful picks against Dallas or Buffalo, this team is 5-2 now and in the thick of the race.

We are that close. We have a good D. The defensive scheme is starting to pay dividends. The running game is starting to really click. Add a QB that only manages the game and we are as good as prob anyone not named the Saints or Vikings.

It was a good win against a good team...that is all.

At 3-4 and the schedule we have no one is thinking we are good, will win the division or any other crazy notion. But after the doom and gloom threads for weeks on the forum, mnay of us are tired of the same old reheated complaints and negative thinking even after a victory.

I am going to do what the players do, take each game one week at a time, enjoy the victories, try and forget the losses, and hope for the best the rest of the way.

As for the bandwagoners, do whatever you want, I really don't care.

This is typical Caralina football. We have many lows only to rise above it all in the next few games. We are either beating our chests or walking around with our heads held low. I paid good money to go to the game last week, talk about holding our heads low. I don't know if it's all our QB's problem, we do have injuries. Yes, I think Jake could be better and more consistant and he can be at times. I don't think he all washed up yet, I think he has the ability to play great. Maybe this win will put some lead back into his throwing.

Guys we need to remember to pray for our team, lift them up to play better, pray for Jake's arm. Our Lord says to pray for what we want, "ask and you will recieve". I prayed before the game yesterday, see what happens when we ask. We have many God Fearing players on this team and it's not up to them to do all the praying, we need to jump on the bandwagon with them. Get on your knees this week and start praying for the NO vs Panthers game. I love my Panther's and they are my highlight on Sunday's. They give me so much enjoyment and I try to love them back anyway I can.

A win at New Orleans.

Unless that happens, I see no reason to get worked up over the Panthers having their first win against a team likely to make the playoffs since October of last year.

To all those saying that we've righted the ship and those acting like Jake Delhomme is suddenly a great quarterback based off his orgasmic 7 of 14 for 90 yards and 1 TD performance, that's a perfectly valid thing to look for before I start crowning the Panthers' asses right?

I'll give you that, we do need to see more. But I do like what we've seen. New Orleans is potentially (probably) the best team in the league this year. They are strong in all phases of the game.

If we want a real test, couldn't ask for a harder one. Heck, if they can just hang tough with them, I'll be pretty happy.

I have a book that says Xenu came here and blew up billions of aliens with hydrogen bombs.

Also, assuming that what you prescribe were more than just talking to yourself wouldn't the Saints fans be doing the exact same? Or are they all just not God fearing enough?

My thoughts exactly.

While I can appreciate your sentiment, I have to think there are more important things in this world to pray about than a football game. Doesn't that just cheapen things a bit? It's like a child praying for a new pair of Nikes, or an XBOX.

God is not Santa Claus, no matter the similarities.

Haven't you heard? God hates New Orleans. He sends hurricanes there to smite the wicked.

Ah good point... good thing he spared the French Quarter though!

we've beaten the saints plenty of times when they were undefeated and off to one of their good starts. I'm not saying it will happen next week, but we swept them in 06 when they went to the NFC Champ game. the team we have right now is probably better than the 06 team was.

Unfortunately so is their team. The good news however is we run consistently and keep the balls out of their offense hands, we have a chance. But their D is much better this year.
