Just being in the same division is a pretty weak connection.  You sure jumped from conspiracy theory to calling it a genuine possibility quick.

Familiarity plus being a hot candidate...

I'm not as big a fan as others of the idea, though.

I was waiting for this list. I was actually going to ask you when you were going to drop it. lol.

My wet dream would be an OC because for the love of god I want to be able to score!!! Especially with this crop of talent they have. Assuming that Cam is still here, I'd like to see what a fresh pair of eyes can do with Cam, CMC, Moore, etc.

If they go Defensive minded coach again, I wouldn't mind Saleh from SF. The dude is always fired up and I'd welcome someone with that intensity to light a fire up players asses.

Agreed. I'd rather go with a OC since the league is become much more pass friendly & high scoring, but Saleh from Saleh is the dude I would love to have.

I had a boss that told me once, hire slow, fire fast. It feels like the Panthers have done the exact opposite with Ron.

Ron has been a good leader which is the most important aspect of being a head coach, that includes the players and other coaches. For roughly 14 out of 16 games a year, Ron has his team ready to go on Sunday. Early on he put good enough coaches around him to have some success, but I think we are now seeing the ill-effects of his staff being poached over the years. Ever since McDermott and then Wilks left, the defense has obviously not been the same. And when the offense finally caught up, the defense has regressed too much to matter. Ron was too proud to bring in coaches with the same level of experience on the defense to help him, probably because he wants to be the big dick in the room and train up the lower level coaches, and he didn't realize he had run out of time to do that so now we're fuged.

Personally I'd like to see a young head coach with older experienced coordinators like Sean McVay did for the Rams. Wade Phillips is basically another head coach and I'm sure Sean just lets him run the defense autonomously. I don't care if the head coach is more defense or offensive oriented, I don't think it matters as long as he is a good leader and level-headed, and can also assemble a staff with a good mix of "been there done that" and "up and coming" coaches. Who the future head coach is going to bring onto his staff is an important question I hope Tepper asks.

What are your thoughts on which team Cam will play for next year?

Clearly you are convinced it will not be the Carolina Panthers...

...your top-3 and why as to where he will land?

Darkhorse team- The LA Chargers

There is speculation that Rivers won't be playing for the Chargers come season's end. Also, Cam seems to be loving the LA lifestyle and he has TD out there that would probably push the coach to trade for Cam.

Keep an eye on the Chargers

The problem with Khan is that he's not really a talent evaluator but more of a contract negotiator. In that role, he's generally considered the best in the league, and would be an asset if he were to follow Colbert to Carolina.

Abrams, like Omar Khan, is more contract negotiator than talent evaluator and his Panthers connections are really only "shirttail".

Isn't this one of the major criticism of Hurney, that he was a contract negotiator and not a talent evaluator?

Daboll has a "sort of" Panthers connection in that he works with Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane in Buffalo. Bienemy is a popular guy right now though possibly waning somewhat. Personally, I'm not a fan of Andy Reid assistants. Stefanski and Sirianni strike me as reaches in the "next Sean McVay" mode.

What I'd love to see is someone who could implement the Shanahan version of the WCO brought in as either HC or OC. Its a great fit for our current play makers on offense like CMC, and Moore.

None of the coaching candidates make me feel more confident than Rivera (who should probably still be let go).

GM candidates tho...

even Roman? turning Lamar Jackson into a damn star. imagine what he can do with Cam. i want that guy so bad. i want to lay in bed next to Greg Roman and just be comforted knowing that he's near me.
