So he can be the next Steve Spurrier or Chip Kelly?  

It would be funny to watch the flailing about that will happen if the Cowboys hire a College Coach with zero NFL experience.  They might have one good season, but after that, all bets are off.  Coaching grown men in a league that has a lot of balance is a bit different from coaching 20 year old kids for a program that generall has more talent than about any team it faces.  

That being said, I doubt Riley leaves for the NFL.

As you probably guessed, neither am I.  lol

But if we are going to bring in a college coach, then I would prefer to take one that raised a program to new heights so to speak.  Like Jimmy Johnson did at Miami.  If we have to bring in a College Coach, Dabo Swinney would be a better choice imo than Riley.  Would never happen, but it would be better.

Dabo is not going to be able to use his in your face style on millionaire football players.  He would get his ass kicked the first time he got into someone's face in the pros.  He's a hell of a college coach however.

Kellen Moore has been mentioned for OC.

Comparisons were always made between Prescott and Newton and Dak lit it up this season. If Dallas dumps their staff and the Panthers keep Cam it would fun to see what Moore could bring out in QB1.

I want Saleh because he is the anti-Rivera. Not stoic. Fired up. I like that. I think Roman was the guy in SF during Kaepernicks best years, so there is that. I don’t think a defensive coordinator means all defense type team. And as much as I’d love an offensive minded guy, we seem to be able to score with KA so I don’t think it’d be an issue with Cam. The problem is the 38 points per game we are giving up on D.

While I'm thinking of it, the Marty 2.0 discussion has reminded me of another grievous thing. Specifically that Richardson's determination to keep Marty around cost us a shot at a guy who might have been a much better GM.

I liked everything I read about Lake Dawson, and when he earned a second interview I thought we might really have a chance at a legit guy.

No such luck.

Again, I have to wonder how different things might have been if we'd only made the right choice. And I've said before and say still that he deserves to get a shot with us in a legitimate process instead of a sham to cover Jerry Richardson's ass.

We're getting more information now on possibilities, though at this point the vast majority of it is still speculation.

The news that Tepper is close to the Kraft family opens up a load of possibilities though. Might have to take a closer look at both Nick Caserio and Josh McDaniels.
