I know brother! That is something Tepper should focus on. Like I've said here many times. We're not "favored" by Vegas the NFL or officials.

They couldn't figure out how to stop this force of nature in Cam Newton so they sanctioned an anyway possible 1985 football approach that only applied to Cam and we all know it.

"Your not old enough to get that call" He was talking to the franchise and that was disgusting, but honest.

This is a cop out.  Small marketitis hasn't stopped Green Bay from individual player and franchise successs.

I'm talking about protecting QBs. The film is out there Rodgers vs Newton. Look what happens when a big guy like McCoy gently takes Rodgers to the ground? That's a competitive advantage in 15 yards and the ball. You may have the blinders on.

When it comes to celebrities there is a saying...

"There is no such thing as bad publicity"

This is especially true with polarizing figures like Cam.

Cam has a personality that is meant for the big stage.

We mind as well just jettison all our good to decent players to major markets then....

Bye Luke

Bye CMC

Bye Cam

Sorry but our team doesn't have a big enough market to suit you guys, have fun

While we are at it lets make sure to never draft guys who might be superstars because Charlotte cannot cater to their needs, lets just stay between mediocre and sorry.

Or better yet, figure out how to build a decent O-line so Cam can reach the Superbowl without ending up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Maybe its our "great" coaches as the rest of the league calls them, Matsko is a legend we have to keep him! So tired of other teams talking up our poo ass coaches, if they are so good let them coach their teams, not ours.

We have constantly retooled, brought in guys, and done everything else in between but yet we still get the same results, piss poor OL play, what is the only constant in this equation?

Anyway, the second half of my statement said that a new coach might not want to tie his future to an oft injured QB of late.  Because the QB, at this point is a risk and will probably want a huge extension.  So the new coaches entire future is dependent, on Cams health.  Normal, rational thinking, non ax grinding people can understand that mundane statement.  Give it a shot.

These aren't decisions the coach makes.

Conventional wisdom in the NFL is that you don't let your star player get to the final year of their contract without talking extension.

"Conventional wisdom" and $5.14 will get you a vente mocha down at Starbucks.

Star players who haven't been healthy in years should be eager to play out the final year of their contract in an effort to maximize future earnings.

Pretty sure he'll stay in the city regardless of what happens. He's got roots here.

Whether he'll still be with the Panthers is another question. Signs point to no at the moment. From what I've seen, I don't believe that'll change, but I acknowledge that it could.

We'll see

good thing you are wrong about most things. Literally makes no sense to release a franchise QB who you still have under contract for a year walk for nothing when you have no better options. Allen has proven he is a back up and nothing more.

thats a terrible argument. Green bay is a historic franchise that has been apart of the NFL for generations. The trophy is named after their most iconic coach.

Where is he going to go?

Where are you seeing these signs?

    • The examples are so many it is pathetic. These are professionals. There is zero reason laypeople or amateur draftniks should be better than our FO. Unless you are a Millen-esque GM. Somehow we have had several. Maybe Mike Mayock is a good recent comp? One good draft out of three and basically just a TV guy.
