The best team in NFL this year?

Nobody's considering the Seahawks as a possibility?

I think if you watched their game against the 49ers, maybe you should.

Rivalry games don't count... plus the Niners gave it away.  Typical Seahawks BS luck.  In a non rivalry scenario the Niners would destroy them like they do everyone.

Best team Ravens hands down. Does that mean they'll be in the Super Bowl? Well...

Patriots - Brady and the offense surprisingly hasn't turned it around yet and even with a really stout defense, this is a concern. Grant you, they can still beat anyone else except for...

Ravens - Best team right now. Belichick doesn't have many weaknesses but mobile QBs is one of them. John Harbaugh is another. It's the best mix to bust through the Patriots firewall and get to the Super Bowl. Not a guarantee but the stars are aligning.

49ers - I don't trust Garoppolo in a playoff setting. The Seahawks game was a litmus test and he did poorly. The defense could carry them but I feel if they have to face the Seahawks in the playoffs, their run may end there.

Seahawks - Only the Patriots are better at pulling off obnoxious wins from what should be losses. Never count them out.

Saints - Their defense isn't quite looking like they did before. Still a threat but that may be the difference.

Everyone else are at least a tier below or simply can't be trusted.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
