Looks like I'm going to be in the minority here, but I say sit him.

How many times have we complained on this board about Rivera playing Newton when there was nothing to play for?

How many times have we expressed concern over the idea that McCaffrey was going to get run into the ground the same as Newton did?

I would sit him down and evaluate the other running backs we have. At the very least, reduce his workload.

Mind you, no way I believe it happens because Rivera is going to be trying to save his job.

No doubt that 90% of the huddle would be in here bitching if he does get hurt. I don’t think he should sit but I would definitely agree with a reduced workload. Maybe drop down to 80/20 or something.

And if that happens, the universal cry will be "Why was he even out there in a game that didn't matter?!"
