Saquon Barkley is an all-time talent and better than McCaffrey

Do you create posts just to have the worst takes possible? CMC is our whole offense and teams still cant stop him. The teams playing against the Ravens have to guard Jackson and the RB. Nobody is worried about Kyle Allen running the ball on them.

He's been stopped in a number of games...……..when CMC is in the secondary he is a real threat to go for many yards...but not so much between the tackles...…...….but he's racked up a lot of yards because the Panthers must leverage him so much...………

I would not have him as the feature weapon in my offense...……...he's going to have a limited life in the NFL as a result.

The thing is that CMC creates an "open field" because he's so shifty. You almost never see a defender get a clean shot at him and he almost always picks up extra yards via shiftiness instead of being a human bulldozer.  I guess you didn't think much of Barry Sanders?

I would agree with what you said there...……..and in that case CMC might be like a Barry Sanders as an F2 race car would be to an F1 race car...…….not as good but pretty respectable in itself...….

BTW...….Sanders I'd consider only next to Jim Brown as the best back I've ever seen play the game. Better in some respects that Brown but not as good in other areas...….then followed by Payton and maybe Gale Sayers

When it comes to big game plays when the count I'm partial to Franco Harris......but then I was born in 1954 and lived until 1998 in Pgh, PA before heading to Charlotte so I have many found memories of 4 SBs in 6 years with the Steelers in the 70's...…….miss that team but don't even like the current version of them today........................but I digress.

So you would not have the best RB in the NFL as your feature weapon but you would be fine with Barkley who has been averaging 2 ypc for the last few games, sure that makes perfect sense.

The same people who don't revel in this aspect of the game are the same people who unironically criticize the Madden cover athlete because of "the curse" and beg the NFL not to give us any primetime games because "we play better when were overlooked."

Look man, lets not kid ourselves. Looking at their athletic measurements Saquon Barkley is without a dout more gifted than CMC on paper. Times measurements whatever. Hes bigger faster and stronger. Hes a bigger homerun threat.. with super 40 speed, and this 4th and 1 4th and short issue that we keep losing games on I'm not sure Barkley doesn't win those. Hes 233 and hes faster.. hes a generational talent* meaning tools he has to work with.

cmc is a good athlete.. right at or above average in athletic testing in the areas of speed. But I think his cone was elite. Cmc is probably the best receiving back I have ever seen in my lifetime. Having said that Barkley isn't that far behind him. Hes made some outstanding grabs that wrs couldnt make and caught what 80 balls last year?

The reason he isn't standing out this year? Didn't he just break his ankle or some significant injury? That has drastically changed his lateral speed and agility. I dont know if this is who he is forever or this injury is just temporary but that doesn't change how he looked coming out. Saying you would take CMC right now vs saying if they both were in the same class and we didn't know any of this would happen I'm betting 90% of us go Barkley. I know I would.

Disagree even with Barkley being more physically gifted.  McCaffrey had a better recruiting ranking coming out of high school, he was better in college (finished 2nd place in the heisman trophy voting), and has been better than Barkley in the NFL. Deal with it.

Everyone trashes the Panthers because they are complete trash. The Panthers are one of the most underwhelming, mediocre franchises in professional sports, with an average at best fan base, no home field advantage, no identity, no history, and the only consistent thing about them is their inconsistency. What’s the teams lifetime record? ~500? I mean, we are the definition of average. Maybe below average.

We are the NFL franchise equivalent of a middle aged white guy that does data entry with a wife and two kids who spend no time together. When they eat dinner once a week out of the house to try and do something fun it’s at Applebee’s and everyone is on their phones looking at something more interesting. It’s a loveless, fickle, tired marriage only hanging on because neither person is good looking, ambitious, or wealthy enough to go find something better. So you wait until the kids finally go off to college (and a cheap shitty college at that because let’s face it, the kids are pretty unremarkable as well), and finally one of you cheats with an old high school flame you rekindled with on Facebook until it’s discovered, you divorce, she gets most of your money and you wait for the sweet embrace of death.

Until the supposed “brass balls” Tepper does something to change that, it’ll stay the same.

I’ll always be a Panthers fan, but there is no reason anyone should ever say anything positive about this franchise.

Racist POS! Why didn't you just say "middle-aged guy"?

That injury and shitty OL really slowed him down. Let's hope CmC dodges the injuries.

TBF our offensive line is at least as bad if not worse. They have a rookie QB. But either way, CMC is the generational running back, no bustquan

You sir are crazy... barely ran faster than cmc at 233 pounds. He jumped higher did more reps of 225. He can beat you with speed or power. Barkley's rookie season was amazing with 80 catches and 1k rushing. In his second year here now he messed up his ankle so it slowed him down.
