Really. A Dark Day isn’t strong enough.but you one post in 6 years is? Not happening. If you read the post you quoted, you would see the draft bashing.

And why no Kalil. That’s ignorant. You don’t hesitate(and no one should) to use it to bash Gman. But I can’t use I was the biggest detractor? Sure that’s fair. What other rules. You want all my CMC bashing. Plenty of folks remember that.

But you did “like” on of his picks. That’s as strong as your Josh Norman—Dr. Strange drivel.

Wasted too much time on my day off arguing with you. Nothing I post will be enough, vice versa. I'm done here.

Can't say it wasn't deserved...

Remember back in preseason when they were talking him up as a potential starter?

Hurney tried to do this as a scapegoat to not having to sign anyone else. Remember when he did a lot of talking up like Will Grier and Greg Little?

Can we all be on the same page that it's time to pull the old yeller and this guy can manage a cinnabon in nebraska?

Can someone go over what potential pro bowlers we missed out on by reaching for this project of his rather than getting an actual safety higher or you know, lineman? This guy has more reach than the guys trying to reach you about your car's warranty

Just like normal, when it comes to facts or proof, you run like a coward. Call people out for what you do everyday. Hypocritical POS.

And here’s the starters just to let folks know which one of us is biased and which isn’t.

why are you continuing to link to my topic?

How was it most people outside of Hurney saw Gaulden as a bust, but not Marty?   It's hard to build a team through the draft when all you can bank on is the first rounders.  Gotta start hitting on more than the obvious Marty!

If first rounders were so obvious, there wouldn't be any first round busts.

Most first round busts have some sort of red flags.  Hurney has admittedly avoided a first round bust, but apparently uses all his draft luck up because he sucks after that.

Again, you can't build a team just hitting on first rounders as evidenced by the product you see today. CMC is carrying the team because there's no complimentary depth to disperse the workload.  Why? Well as you see we cut a 3rd round pick today and frankly shouldn't even had made the initial 53 man roster.  Greg Little was in a literal draft free-fall...dude was like nuclear waste; nobody wanted near him at the top of the second round.  So what does Hurney do?  He moves UP to nab a guy that nobody wanted then.   Everybody and their grandmothers knew the Panthers were in the market for a FS and this was a LOADED draft for that spot.  What does Hurney do?  Stick with a project he knew was a lost cause because he went out on a limb with Gaulden and tried his best to make a square peg fit in a round hole.

I couldn't say that.

If you saw the game yesterday, he earned this.

Not arguing that. It's just that a lot of people were to blame for yesterday. Slye missing chip shots and extra points doesn't make it any different. Gaulden had two mistakes that accounted for 7 points. Slye left a lot on the board as well. So did not punching it in from goal. Honestly thought more heads would roll. Not just Gaulden.

Nice spot to stop when you’re lying and dismissing facts. I’ve proven my point. 10x more than you EVER could. Continue to be a hypocrite and I’ll continue to call you out.

Yet , look who tries to slip in and take a shot. The exact same type of homerific poster as the other. I guess not allowing y’all to be hypocritical is an issue. Too bad.

Are posters seriously arguing that first round busts are rare? What? The Panthers have had a few not so long ago.

Last I checked around 33% of first round picks are what one could refer to as an outright bust.

hell three weeks ago DJ was a bust on this board.

reaching for a guy we though we could convert into another position...in the 3rd.

Now we're watching to see if Samuel can find a place to make an impact on plays other that jet sweeps and end arounds.  And he was pick #40,

..this philosophy really chaps my azz...it worked with Davis tho..

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
