Opinions: need to rebuilt the Oline AND Dline

Both lines are in bad shape. But we need to see what scheme the new head coach will implement.

As far as the OL I think Moton, Turner (cap reasons), and Paradis (see Turner) are locks to return. Williams can walk. I would draft a LG to compete with Daley. And hopefully sign a vet LT like Andrew Whitworth for a year. Maybe Little can develop under his tutelage.

For the DL KK stays for cap reasons. Poe is a goner. Same with Butler. Hopefully Derrick Brown from Auburn is available and we can have our replacement.  I would like to bring Irvin or Addison back if it’s affordable. McCoy too. I’m in favor of spending a nice chunk of cap on a legit DE/OLB. The problem I have is what happens with Burns. Does a new HC stick to 3-4 or will Burns have to bulk up to play 4-3 DE? Same with Miller. He’s probably a SLB in a 4-3 or situational rusher. Ditto with Haynes.

Much of it depends on of the Panthers change the offensive scheme next year. We've run Coryell Ron's entire tenure. Different offenses call for different types of blockers.

Given Tepper's roots, what scheme does Pittsburgh employ?

Don’t quote me but I believe Todd Haley ran the Coryell And I don’t think they have changed since his departure.

Haley is an Erhardt-Perkins guy.

That's been the Steelers chosen system since the early 90s when Ron Erhardt (one of the guys who created it) was their OC. It's also the system the Patriots have preferred since Charlie Weis.

For the record, the Panthers originally ran an E-P under Dom Capers and Joe Pendry and then switched to a WCO under Seifert.

With John Fox and Dan Henning we went Coryell and have been ever since (though some would say Jeff Davdson was more E-P),

We don't need to overhaul the oline. We just need to get rid of Paradis, Williams and Maybe GVR. Little and especially Daley have been solid, Turner is not bad, and Moton is good for the most part.

Please for the love get rid of GVR he is horrible. Wouldn't mind him as a back up, but have y'all seen how awful he is in pass protection. He is a HUGE problem as well and like I said earlier only the Panthers would think of this man as a starter.

tuner and KK have both been bad since their big fat contracts...we are likely stuck with them for a while, cant take the cap hits, and we shouldnt

but we absolutely have got to get some linemen...our OL is just killing us, as is our DL

Sometimes it's better to take the hit and move on like Sean Gilbert and Matt Kalil. But yes hurney extended them both.

We crapped the bed with Paradis; we're stuck with him.  Keep Moton and Turner.  Move Moton to LG though.  Shore up the interior and look for some freaking help at the tackle positions!  It's aptly named because they are getting our QBs tackled brutally and often.

Daley has been solid and Little was good before the concussion. No reason why he can't get back to that form.

Daley has been decent.  Considering Little was ranked as the best LT prospect in the nation coming out of high school, he didn't live up to those expectations in college and sure doesn't look like it here.  I'm cool with those two as depth, but in no way as starters.

Very foolish to give up on a rookie (an LT at that) that looks decent. There's no room for growth?
