You got upset our QB got a flag for being punched in the head after a play? Cant make this stuff up. You want a lifetime of bad calls for consistancy sake. That's brilliant.

Uh, no.  I was angered by the sudden willingness to throw that flag for Kyle when Cam would never have gotten it.  Kyle getting the flag was the right call.  Just wish Cam could have received the same treatment.

Now back to your dramatization.

One other note: That might be the most chill officiating crew I've seen in quite a while.

Besides the Jordan thing, how the hell did Rashaan Gaulden not get thrown out  of the game for putting his hands on a ref?

(I mean, given how things were going, I think most Panther fans probably would have supported his ejection)

Obviously a call, or non call rather, against the Panthers.

I'm afraid to say that I don't think it was worth an ejection because I don't care to argue about it. It was loud as hell in there so I don't think he heard the whistle. I do think he was going to punch the ball and missed terribly. At least we got the flag.

I find a couple of things funny. One, every single one of you has said that he should have been ejected. I sense some homerism. Two, we bitch and moan about the roughing the passer calls the refs have been calling this year and then we want Cam ejected for that? We can't have it both ways. The flag was thrown and it kept our drive alive. I think that's all we could have asked for.

How can you offer the excuse that you don’t think he heard the whistle when literally every other player heard it and he was the player closest to the official?

C’mon man.

With regards to attempting to draw a parallel between Cam Jordan’s actions on that play and anything a Panther has done this season, please link the play in which one of our players threw a punch in a dead ball situation and I will happily agree that player should have been ejected, otherwise spare me your cries of homerism and citing non equivalent situations.

I thought so too. After being ready to go after Boger with a pitchfork (I’m all about being part of spontaneous mobs) a couple weeks ago, I gotta give this officiating their due. Gaulden wasn’t ejected for something that’s usually an auto eject. I wouldn’t have held it against the officials at all if they’d tossed him. He was a walking screw up today.

Nah, it took getting punched a foot from the ref to get a call. The 51 yard td pass to moore, he straight up was punched in the face with no call.

That's the play I was thinking of.

I remember seeing him motion to a ref that he'd gotten hit in the head but nothing happened.

Saw a tweet by one of the ESPN talking heads saying Cam Jordan deserves some leeway as he’s only had three roughing calls against him in his career. That seems illogical to me. He may not be a dirty player, but that was a dirty play. Look at it this way: “I’m sorry, judge, but it’s only the third time I’d hit my wife, you see..” wouldn’t justify it would it? No. Case closed.

no, not flawless, nor would i say i agree with everything you say. But you put, i imagine effortlessly, an unemotional take on whats going on.

what i would consider flawless, is having points to back up your assertions, and they never seem to be hidden of a bias.

We talking about the same Mr. Scot who gives such effortlessly unemotional takes like the one below?  If you think he's unemotional, I'm assuming you've never opened a Gettleman vs. Hurney thread in here lol...oh wee mayne.

One, he was never qualified for the job to begin with, but our idiot owner was known to give people jobs they didn't deserve as rewards.

Two, he looked okay early on the last time too, but things only got worse the longer he was in place.

Three, there are candidates out there who genuinely are qualified. If we pass over people like that (again) to keep this moron, we pretty much deserve whatever happens.

As has been mentioned before, Hurney doesn't know how to plan ahead. He's completely a fly by the seat of his pants, win now, use up whatever we've got guy with a penchant for an occasional hit and frequent dumbass decisions.

We deserve better.

Tom Brady, Drew Brees and a couple others would have gotten that call. They are both veterans with winning records and are a huge draw for the league.

Kyle Allen, Josh Allen, Daniel Jones or 20 other QBs in the league aren't getting that call- see above. Yet this board fills up with threads like this every time it happens. Oh, and didn't it happen again just a few plays later on CMC and nothing was said?

Tre Boston got called for essentially the same thing Cam Jordan did, except that Boston's call was far more questionable than Jordan's.

Get used to it- when your team sucks, don't expect the refs to give you the benefit of the doubt. But it does open up the possibility of guys just laying forearms and elbows into guys and claiming they were "going for the ball."
