Yeah I miss the days where teams feared for their life because we had a baseball bat on defense. Or the hardest hit got a barbwire boxing glove. Now it feels like keep pounding is a metaphor for here we go again.

I'll be a Panther fan until the day I die but I have no faith in this front office and coaching staff. None. Watching other teams at least try to get better while we trudge through the same BS every year (except 2015) has gotten unbearable. If you want me as a fan to show up, give me something more than mediocrity. That poo ain't worth my time.

I've said before that it would take something "real world" for me to actually part ways with the team, stuff like the Richardson scandal or something in that vein. And even that would depend on how it was handled.

If we're just talking about player decisions I disagree with, I've dealt with those for about 25 years. Sometimes I was right. Sometimes I was wrong. Either way though, those things are always temporary by nature.

And mediocrity? Well...hate to sound cynical but I'm used to that at this point.

Next set of fans. The ‘I’m done with this team if they don’t keep Cam. I have a solution for you too! Consider the following:

Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson. One of the most exciting young QBs in the league. Runs circles around opposing defenses. 

Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes. THE best QB in the league imo. Can’t go wrong on this bandwagon. May well shatter passing records.

Next set of fans. The “I can’t follow this team if we sign another player like Eric Reid” crowd. Have you considered:

The Texas Rangers? Tough team in the most conservative state in the country playing America’s most tradition sport. Baseball. Get stuck in. No social justice statements here. You’ll never look back.

And FINALLY. The “It’s only been a year and a half but Tepper is obviously an idiot” crowd. We come full circle! 

New England Patriots: Robert Kraft built a dynasty. Yeah he might get caught up in sex slave scandals from time to time but hell. He knows how to run a football team, right? This guy is the owner for you. 

 

Okay I think that pretty much covers it for everyone. I love you guys as people but from a sporting perspective I think if you fall into one of these categories then you are irrationally charged unintelligent sports fan. Genuinely. So I hope this helps! 

Stopping littering this joint if you hate this team, think Tepper is ruining it after a year and a half, think Eric Reid has ruined our national integrity or plan to move on once Cam goes.

I was down for this team when most everyone in the state used to clown you for being a fan, right here in NC. I waited years for a player like Cam to come, and he quickly became my favorite player. 

I’m not saying I’ll give the panthers up, but I won’t feel bad for following him wherever he goes. I’ll always have a place in my heart for my home state team, but it’s no secret that I haven’t been impressed with how they’ve done my guy since he’s been here. I also firmly believe he’s not done. I’ll have two teams, and not feel bad about it

I wouldn't go as far as saying I would have 2 teams.  I tried that when the Panthers first came around, it didn't last long. But, I would root for Cam whether it be here or somewhere else

Was that an embarrassing game? I saw a loss, but it was far from embarrassing. It showed a lot of guts, effort and potential.
