Y’all still live in this fairytale world where somewhere in an alternate universe Gano is a good kicker. He single handedly cost us the playoffs in 2016, 2017, missed multiple kicks in the super bowl. Yet because he had a stretch of PATs and one good kick against the Giants that he was expected to miss all the sudden he’s some myth of Panther lore. 
 

Gano sucks and has been in the league forever. I’d rather let Slye grow and see what we have in him. We know for a fact Gano is not reliable, Slye is young and showed promise before this game.

Joking aside, I don’t think Gano is half as bad as some of you claim. He’s not great, but Slye isn’t the “replacement” you’re hoping for.

The gist of it is if any other kicker misses that means Gano wasn't actually a consistently boom or bust kicker at best after all. We are basically in store for this with every kicker for the next several years. The fact Gano has his own gaggle of minions to run around falling on their swords for him tells you all you need to know about the state of this franchise. It's gonna be a long couple of years ahead.

Gano was trash. Only reason his missed were down the past two years is because Ron stopped letting him attempt semi difficult kicks.

I dont understand how we can look around the leauge at some truly awful kickers, watching Mare and Medlock, and then saying Gano sucks.

Not everyone is Kasay, Bryant, Tucker, etc.

Did you guys forget Gano missed a 25 yard FG in the Superdome in the playoffs in 2017? Gano would have missed that kick on Sunday too.

Gano is a good kicker. His stats prove it.
