There's one way to find out!

I believe Tepper will sit Cam down and explain to him man-to-man the true ramifications of coming back and making a bet on himself.

If Cam plays in the NFL next season it will be in a Carolina Panthers uniform.

I can confirm no matter if Cam or a mutated version of Mike Vick and Joe Montana were to start next year we would still suck. This roster just sucks.

It depends, if we get a new coach with some fresh ideas and a good staff that could all change.

We will see. I am not sure I would be terribly excited about being with a franchise that could very well be mired in rebuilding for the prime years of my career.

Tied for 5th worst in the NFL and people are still trying to make excuses to be ok with this lol

Rivera's a reeeeally likeable guy.

And honestly, some people are okay with "just good" and/or are afraid of trying something different. We had people who didn't want to part with John Fox either.

I'm not one of those people.

It's time to move on.

I don't think we need a rebuild just a retool. Need the offense clicking first and foremost. That begins with actual innovation at the coaching level, and from there shoring up the OL. We are going to have to invest heavy through the draft.  Offense needs to be the top priority. If we can fix all that, and figure out what's going on at QB we can compete in the short term even if our defense is average. But we are at a point where time isn't a luxury with the QB position. If guys aren't cutting it we aren't going through this Rudy aw shucks poo every time. We just want the team to succeed. If we can stumble into a QB that knows how to swing a stick, or basically anyone with even an ounce of the swagger Newton played with in his prime, we can be back in the thick of things.

I believe that we can retool but it isn't going to happen with the current active QB's we have, nor will it likely happen breaking in a rookie QB. Keep in mind that we have critical components of our younger core and older core coming up on contracts that are ending. This is sort of the perfect storm of roster mayhem. We could easily weather to storm, reshape the roster selectively and build on a new core. That's the direction I would go.

The bulk of the Huddle masses seem to want a complete teardown, which I keep cautioning about. If we drop a bomb on this roster, it will not likely be a two year turnaround, it's much more likely that we end up being mired in rebuilding for 4+ years. That's why I keep saying I am basically dreading this offseason. This is a very bad time to be going through a front office overhaul and coaching change.
