Money!!!

He's got that already!

It is interesting to not that his contract has 8% kickers in it should he be traded.

This year is a lost year already...and then we'd have him for only 1-season and owe him $30 million for that season.

Between Drummond, Batum, Rozier and Cody we'd have $91,000,000 committed for the 2020-2021 season.

Those 4 might get us close to a playoff berth but a series win is out of the question and then Drummond is an unrestricted free-agent....he ain't gonna re-sign with a Mike Jordan owned team.

Then you move on.. And find the next Defensive bigman.. Its not that hard or difficult.. He is a Jordan guy and if he wants to be here we can pay him.. If he doesn't then you move on.. But he isn't worth giving up our most valuable assets.. Which is a probably top 3 pick or Miles, PJ or Devonte..

Also Batum and Cody are off the books the year after so it's not going to hurt us to pay him..

For years now I have been hearing about "Jordan guy(s)"...

...has translated to NOTHING!

Mike "The Dolt" Jordan hasn't attracted a single player of note.

Also, in case you were not aware, he is not allowed to use the "Jordan Brand" to attract any players.

Again read the rest of the statement before drooling on your keypad..

If he wants to be here we can pay him.. If he doesn't you move on.. No need to trade the farm for Drummond.. Plain and simple

I am not saying we will or should do anything especially until the offseason but plug a 26 yr old Drummond into this team and you have something.  He is going to want a max deal (probably) and that is a major sticking point.  A player like him is exactly what we need IMO.

would you give up MKG and Biz expiring contracts for him..?

I'd listen to it..

might have to throw in a draft pick or take a shitty deal back to make it work..

I would absolutely.  That is win win but they will want something more probably.
