I know it's depressing, but lets talk about draft eligible QBs

I think more than a couple of evaluators don't see a high ceiling on Burrow. I read a couple of draft articles where he was called a "game manager."

We will see. All that stuff gets a lot more dialed in towards the draft.

Seems more like Alex Smith with a better arm?

If that's the case, I'll take that any day.

Joe Burrow looks like the #1 guy IMO, but those one year wonder guys always concern me.

I have serious question marks about Herbert. He plays in a conference that doesn't play a lick of defense and in the Oregon games I've watched that were competitive, they've largely taken the ball out of his hands in crunch time. Why?

Jalen Hurts fits the "good college QB, not an NFL QB" mold. I just don't think he's accurate enough. Then again, Deshaun Watson had games at Clemson where he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn and he's turned out to be an elite NFL QB, so who knows?

Tua is interesting, but he has MAJOR injury red flags. His draft status will depend almost entirely on his medical evaluations.

Jacob Eason probably has the best arm in the draft, but he's an utter statue with zero mobility (think Drew Bledsoe in terms of stature, arm strength, and utter lack of mobility). Teams would've loved him in the 80s but I'm not sure how they'll feel about him in 2020. He also falls into that one year wonder category. Jake Fromm bounced him from UGA.

Jordan Love out of Utah State is going to be the small school QB of conversation in this draft. I haven't watched him play at all.

I still like Jake Fromm from UGA. My big question mark on him is what he would look like if he wasn't protected by a dominant running game. He's always had that at UGA. If I had to guess, he's probably an NFL backup but we'll see. He was always supposed to be a backup at UGA and yet he's been starting ever since he stepped foot on campus keeping higher touted recruits on the bench or in the transfer portal. I'm curious to see his measurements. He's listed at 6'2", 220 but he sure doesn't look it on the field.

Cam having an 11 month recovery time from the actual injury or just in the general sense??

Also, Tua would be off my board at this point. We don't even know that he is going to be capable of playing football again yet.

His doctor said that he expects a full recovery!

With that being said, he's on my list and highlighted.

If a surgeon ever says anything other than that, the patient probably died on the operating table.

Never had any real surgery, but doctors I've experienced between myself and my family have been pretty professional & honest to the good or bad. I would also suggest that a world-class doctor would be less likely to be blowing sunshine up our collective asses unless he thought what he was saying was true. But that's just my experience and take on the matter.

I still think it's silly that people use "game manager" as if it were a criticism.

The type of guy you call a game manager is actually perfect for a lot of systems (New England and Pittsburgh, for example).

How many times have those doctors spoke to the press about those operations knowing his words if negative would drastically impact someone's professional and financial future? I didn't specifically state it, but I was only talking in terms of surgeon comments on athletes. Gotta remember, these guys have to follow HIPPA guidelines. If he said that Tua may never fully recover and his football future was in doubt, Tua could probably sue the poo out of him for disclosing private medical information.

Yeah, we don't know what that means. It's just generic "doctor talk." Lots of rehab and other obstacles to overcome.
