  1. 1. Which scenario are you more inclined to choose?

    • Stick with Ron and hope he turns things around somehow in the next few years.
      3
    • Blow this Bih up and hire a new staff and fresh pair of Eyes at GM and ride it out through a rebuild situation (Or get lucky and bounce back quickly).

I believe Burns is something special.  Anyone can get injured.  We got an amazingly promising rookie at a position of great need.  I don't think you can fault the pick, especially after seeing he has the fastest get off in the NFL as a rookie.  You have to remember, not every first round pick is a star.  It seems to be with Hurney at the helm, but things could be very different.

Blaze I believed that LT tackle was our biggest need and if Dillard was there we grab him and cement the LT spot for at least 10 to 15 years.  This last draft was deep in pass rusher who might not be as fast as Burns but were more physical than Burns.  Maybe Little will work out and I am wrong next year but the last two starts for him have been brutal.  We would not had to traded our 1st of our two 2nd round draft pick and waited almost 100 picks to draft in the 3rd round.

They gotta blow it up even if they make the wrong hires. Fresh blood at the top is needed for better or worse.

Ron could move on, be a dominant DC again and get another opportunity but for us it's ran its course.

Have you seen our defense get gashed on sundays? I don't think Ron Rivera will be a DC again.... Maybe in the CFL

Have been a Ron supporter since he’s been in Carolina. Didn’t jump on the Fire Ron Wagon last year when the team imploded. But after watching this supposed “SB or bust” team play the way it has I’m finally done with Ron. He’s done great things for the team and the community but it’s time for him to go.

He’ll get another HC job soon... would love to see what he can do in Cleveland

I think Ron has a lot of strengths as a coach. (and his share of weaknesses) He's an excellent leader/motivator in my view, and players seem to genuinely like playing for him.

But change is a constant, and sometimes the old must make way for the new.

New owner was the beginning, and I *do* think that it has reached the time for a new organizational thumbprint.

I look at an organization like the Ravens and how adaptable they are and have been, and I'd love to see that sort of thing for our Panthers. Just a savvy approach that finds ways to tailor things to the strengths of your existing players along with a front office that is capable of restocking the cupboards over the years.

Let's do this. Lead the charge Tepper!

We can always play the what-if game.  Maybe Little wouldn't have been there.  I believe our drafting is a lot better with Hurney than we had with Gettleman.  We have some linemen that show some promise, I don't think our problems can be placed on one individual.  We have a lot of guys that are not showing up on Sunday.

I think it is too early to judge these rookies, especially those dealing with injuries.  We have a short memory on this forum sometimes.  Gettleman took Benjamin with a first round pick.  Funchess with a second.  Vernon Butler with a first.

The grass just might not be greener I guess is my point.  Hurney is not perfect, but he has made good moves.
