he also thinks it would be very stupid to get rid of cam. he’s right, btw

I think what he said was it would be a bad move to move on from Cam before the 2020 season, which I agree with.

However, we may not have much of a choice in that regard.

if cam wants out i understand and support him

Same.  Don't want that to happen, but we shall see.

Not really wanting the team to take a hard stance with Cam, if we can get something for him and get him to one of a few different teams, sure.  Otherwise waiving him as early as possible is best for Cam and the Panthers.

Can you really see giving him an extension after the last two years though?

Said it before: If we saw any other team giving an extension to a quarterback who'd spent the better part of the last few years injured, we'd be pointing and laughing.

So we are at the hur der point with Allen that we ignore he's learning and not a 5 year vet. Plenty of Rookie QBs have had the same problems. He's doing too much and trying to will a bad team to victory. Maybe if our line could actually get push in the run game we are not talking about this. The red zone is where most young players struggle. I don't see why Allen haters think this is proof of anything.

Outside of your profile pic you have proven to have no unbiased bone in your body in the Kyle Allen debate.

No....maybe I should have expanded on that a little.

I would LOVE to see Cam play out his contract here, assuming that there are no "pitch counts", "vet days", "new normals", and the BS that this team threw out for the past 3 offseasons.

If Cam can make it through the season, and is capable to playing close to his normal style of football, then you sign him long term.

I do NOT think any of that is going to happen, even though it's what I want to happen.

I fully think that Cam will retire, ask for an extension and threaten holding out, or will ask to be traded/cut.

Paying Cam at this time is not an option for the Panthers, but I would also be OK with us not forcing him to play or hold out either.  If Cam is gone, I would prefer a clean breakup.

Yeah and plenty of those rookie QB's with the same problems would be on the bench in an instant if they had a league MVP QB come back anywhere near healthy.

The impression I get is that the Panthers will accommodate his wishes, even if they're not necessarily the best thing for the team.

The wisdom or non wisdom of that is a whole debate in itself.

Agreed.  I would prefer to play hardball with almost any other player, but some are different...IMO.

The real disappointing point of Little if we missed on this pick is what we could have had.  The Saints have apparently killed it with Erik McCoy and appear to be set for 10 years at center.

if we missed on this pick.

No one knows yet. One bad game does not a good or bad career make. Plenty of players look bad their first game back from injury, let alone rookies. He might not pan out, he might.

After two concussions within such a short span of time, it honestly makes me nervous as hell that the kid is even out there.
