It's time for Will Grier

LOL....Sometimes people tend to over analyze others opinions.  Lamar is doing great, even throwing TD's!

2,258 yds 19TD 5int 788 rushing yards this year

Now he could continue to rise, sure.  He could hit his peak and start tanking, sure.  Will Cam be back to his usual ways, possible.  Or is he done and limited to pocket passing?  Possibly.

It is really irrelevant.....the team as a whole simply isn't meshing, just flashes here and there.  I think we all can agree there needs to be lot of changes.

2019 SEASON STATS

Why are you posting stats from this year? You’re going back and forth with cam fanboys forever stuck in 2015.

You’re saying now they’re saying now compared to cam 5 years ago...cause you know that’s more relevant.

Look up Cam Newton 2011 preseason stats and tell me whose QB rating was better (preseason stats are meaningless)

i don't think you do it until the last game or two if at all - depending on how allen looks.   if grier is as bad as he was in preseason its just a game or two and growing pains.   if its 6 games, or he's so bad allen has to come back in he's peterman

That's a foolish way of looking at it, considering we're willing to give Allen 15 games to prove he doesn't suck but Grier would be Peterman after 4-5 games of his rookie season. As it always is on the Huddle, it's not about facts. It's about personal bias.

yeah allen should get that many games, and when/if its will's shot he should get that many too.

Yea, I was in the camp that thought Kyle Allen could be a decent starter.  Over the last few weeks I have changed my opinion.  I still think Kyle Allen is a quality backup. A backup isn't supposed to play 14 games and it's obviously too much for him at this point in his career.

That being said, it's time to start Will Grier and see what you have in him.  At this point if the coaching staff doesn't start him, does this show how little faith they have in him?

This is not going to happen with Ron Rivera as coach with any chance whatsoever to paid his stats

....unless Tepper directly orders it which he won’t do

we all know this

Grier looked bad playing w/ bad players.  Cam looked bad playing w/ starters his first preseason.  Then re-wrote the history book.

You just can't predict things in the NFL.

If we are officially out of the playoffs we should see Will Grier.  I don't care if we start him but you give him some time.  Maybe start to alternate quarters or something.  But you give him some opportunities to show what he's got.

Will Grier could be even worse than Kyle Allen so I'm down for starting him next year while we tank, then let our new GM and coach draft a real QB.

we have no clue if he would be worse or not.

Touchdown Jesus might go out do and thing.   You never know.  Cam most certainly didn't look like he was going to come out of the gates and set passing records.  He was horrific as passer in preseason.  He basically had that highlight run vs the Bengals in the preseason.  But his passing was awful.
