Does me watching basketball or the NBA have anything to do with looking at the mess that MJ has built in Charlotte?  And yes, I do watch basketball, not as much as football though.

I find that people who don’t even follow the Hornets or complain about NBA basketball constantly, are usually chomping at the bit to take shots at MJ and his leadership. Just a little observation of mine...

Jordan hasn’t done a good job, overall, but he’s been much better here lately.

I call out bad owners and bad management, no matter what sport we are talking about....I just don't pay as much attention to basketball as I do football....same with hockey, but the Hurricanes do look to be rebounding a bit, much like the Hornets, with some better front office decisions as of late.

When MJ has the hornets as a consistent playoff team, or can even win a couple of series, then I'll fully put my comments to bed about his lack of success in managing and owning an NBA team.

I'm so ready for Tepper to put Rivera out of his/our misery, I can taste it. I think he's ready to put his own stamp on things. I would imagine the hotshot he hired to manage Team Operations already has a list of coaching and GM candidates lined up. As a fan, hindsight makes me wish he'd hit the reset button last year, but as someone in business, I respect him for not acting hastily, and taking the time to figure out what he wants to do. Sure a crappy season is a catastrophe for us as fans, but in the grand scheme of the team's history, it will be just a blip, and if he can get things right, we could see a really exciting team in the relatively near future. Here's hoping!

We heard most of this same stuff last season. What actualy happened was MoRon and Hurney met with Tepper and MoRon hit him with the missed opportunities more so than anything else folded his arms across his ample chest and Tepper could not resist.

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if Tepper retains Ron and Marty for another year.

Starting to feel like Rivera's departure is a foregone conclusion and any current game should be watched in the context of what it means for next season. 

That season was magical for me. I went to the AZ game and the SF game. The only two games they won that year. Bitter sweet man. I remember I had picked up Gettis in my fantasy league that year and started him against SF. Man I was thrilled he was productive that day. Those are memories I'll ever forget.

 

As to your point, yeah, feels like it. I hope it does happen. I know it's frowned upon to wish this team loses more games but at this point if it gets Rivera and Co out of Charlotte, so be it. This team and the players need a fresh start.

Rivera and Hurney are both GONE gone. If Tepper wants to justify a new stadium, playing games in November against division rivals when the weather is nice and having only 70% of the seats filled in the first half and to see that number dwindle to about 1/3rd by the 4th quarter isn't the way to do it.

Meh this has been said before on here and led to nothing.

I'll say it again, the Rivera haters want it both ways:  the roster is "trash" including QB but despite that Coach should be fired for not getting to the playoffs with them.
