I like it so far...however...really unsure there is enough content I havent seen to keep this service.  Maybe.

Just do what everyone else does and sign up for the free period when the show is finished releasing or cancel till then.. There’s a reason they are keeping it at 1 episode release at a time. When there’s only 1 piece of content gotta do something to get people to pay.

Agreed, I personally dont like what Disney is doing to Star Wars but this show is somewhat of an exception.  At least this is good.  The 4 billion price tag is starting to look really cheap with the amazing amount of money grabs Disney is deploying.

I like it, but it feels like it's only 30 minutes because they were too lazy to create actual characters and write dialogue.  It doesn't feel like a tv show, it feels like a movie that's been cut in to bit sized morsels.

That's actually why a lot of people who are into Star Wars lore enjoy the show. Mandos aren't supposed to say much. I give the writers credit for being able  to move the plot forward without much dialogue.

I hope I don't get crushed here, but I'm going to try and give an honest opinion of the show.

It's enjoyable to watch, but it's not the best thing I've ever seen. I don't geek out over Star Wars, but I do enjoy watching SW-related things. That might be why I'm not as into it.

Some things really annoy me, but from a directorial (?) standpoint. For instance, they did the whole "I'm going to learn to ride this animal after two tries because my ancestors did it!" and when they attacked the base in the first episode...there were what seemed like 30+ people, the robot did most of the work, and when he finally gets on the big gun, he takes out 3 people and it's done. Eh... maybe I'm too critical, but stuff like that gets to me. Don't even get me started about the cheesy fly-by salute from the bigger Mando at the end of Ep. 3.

Like I said in my earlier post, the writers are doing a phenomenal job of moving the plot forward with very little dialogue and the settings/props they're using are awesome. I enjoying seeing something different (I don't agree with the earlier poster who said the story is the same). Like another poster said, I don't want this to turn into a cat 'n mouse type story; I'm interested to see if they move in that direction. I'm hoping they don't. I'll continue watching it for sure.

Oh, I do like the RPG style of building his armor, but I'm a little sad that he has the entire set already. P.S. Those scenes of them crafting the armor were a bit cheesy, too.

Don't hate me. Convince me why I'm wrong :)

You’re not wrong, you’re just not looking at it the way it’s intended. It’s myth, not a police procedural. It’s visual storytelling, not a plot heavy drama. It’s mood and attitude. Think of the first 20 minutes of Star Wars. Hardly any dialog but the visuals and music told you all you needed to know.

Let's be honest, the AT-ST is the dumbest vehicle in the history of movies.     Here they are fighting these raiders and are afraid of this machine when they can just put ropes around the trees and watch it trip over itself to the ground.       Those things always cracked me up on Star Wars.

They’re no problem against trained soldiers. However, unarmed villagers, facing a bunch of armed raiders on foot, backed up by that thing, would have a hard time, even if they got it on the ground.

4th Episode was basically a Star Wars themed mash up of Shane/Three Amigos, and it was great.

It was Seven Samurai...except with just two samurai. With the villagers in a rice paddy using spears, it almost went past paying homage. The scene with the farmers coming to barter for aid with their meager harvest was taken almost verbatim.

It was very appropriate to do an homage to a Japanese film about samurai, also known as a "jidaigeki" (where Lucas got the word "jedi" from).

But I really liked this episode! I was so happy to see them take a break from the A plot to tell a one-off adventure. Hope to see more like it! Got my head spinning over what other genre I'd like to see them homage.

My dream would be a "mystery on a train" movie. Check out the plot to Shanghai Express and tell me that wouldn't make perfect sense in the Star Wars universe.

I gotta be honest, I don't like this show much. The originality is lacking, as it is with some of the newer movies. And the writing honestly is almost Xena Warrior Princess level. I will give it a shot until it ends but I am highly skeptical through 4 episodes.

For reference, the newest trilogy is palatable but largely just glorified remakes, Rogue One is possibly the best Star Wars movie ever made, and I liked Solo quite a bit too.

I suspect Disney will make a lot of pretty terrible and unoriginal Star Wars content but with their over saturation you might see some really great things creep in. It's going to be a rough slog through all the fuging awfulness they are going to pump out.
