Again, if Cam is truly done then Allen is technically our future till we get another option. I am a huge Cam supporter and all my Panthers gear has Cam on it. That doesn't mean I cannot see the writing on the wall. To be honest even if Cam was playing, that offensive line would have him chunking it up in the air for dear life as well. Smh.

Well I think we can safely Kyle isn't going to cut it.  Better hope they find lightening in a bottle with Grier or somehow Cam makes a miraculous recovery and still wants to play here or this team is screwed.

Kyle has outdone himself. He’s proved a lot of people wrong that he should have been drafted over quite a few 5th and later round picks as a quality backup.

a backup quarterback,.. not an NFL starter... 

Cam hurt his shoulder. In the preseason and practices his shoulder was shown to be 95%. Then he gets a freak foot injury. 
 

the guy will be back. He just needs to be healthy enough to get a real offseason in getting into football shape.

At the end of the day, we only have limited draft picks next year and a decent cap space to rebuild behind a new GM and coach.

our first round pick is not going to get a new star quarterback. It’s not. Give it up. And that’s if we pick right and the next guy is a star.

Its Cam, and then it’s a legit LT,.. no messing around with bullshit.

we probably need to use all the picks on Oline and DB. Free agents can be defensive line and other holes

I want to squash this notion because it is far from the truth. What has been going on around the huddle is making any little accomplishment Allen did way bigger than it actually is and then also wanting to throw franchise money at him, call him the "future" and talk about how great he is while trashing and wanting to get rid of Newton.

It's funny how some posters believe it's all just Cam fans "gloating" when the same posters were silent when Cam was being personally attacked. This is just throwing back what has been thrown and reiterating that Allen is nothing  more than a backup. Which is what most of the sensible posters have been saying all along, but then trashed here after saying so.

The performance of this team under the guidance of Rivera and Hurney has left a lot to be desired regardless of QB during the better part of a decade.

Cam has carried this team for years, but he can only do so much and right now he is unable to do anything.

Even if Cam could return to 2015 form tomorrow, I doubt this team would win enough games to make it to the playoffs this season.

The roster and the coaching staff simply aren't good enough to overcome their obvious weaknesses in all aspects of the game.

Until Ron and Hurney are shown the door, expect the poo show that is the Carolina Panthers to continue unabated.

If anyone made one of these threads when Cam had a bad game, I am sure I know what the discourse would be in the thread. Maybe we should support our starting QB instead of throwing him under the bus for a bad game.
