im guilty to a degree...I just want to win football games, we were winning with allen and were not with cam

allen was awful yesterday, his first pick to a DL trying to throw a ball away was the worst, and 2 endzone picks in last 2 weeks with game on the line were just killers

i will bandwagon anyone who plays for us when they win

PS:  I dont think joe montana could win the way our OL has been

Thanks and I appreciate the transparency! Wish your other friends were as forthright as you.

If you want to compare Allen to Newton when they were the same age, look at the rookie records and awards Cam won. Rookie of the year, most TDs by a rookie, most yards by a rookie.  He was in the middle of a historically good season, Allen is not.  Thats why he's not going to get 'cut the same slack'.

Wasn't comparing the two.  I was showing how even in Cam's first year he had to learn the game and even he the "Great Cam Newton," had a 4 interception game too.  I was also showing that Cam had three and two inceptions games.  Kyle can be a good QB in this league.  Franchise no but a good QB.  Even Delohmme had to learn to be a quality QB in this league.  Kyle and Delhomme both were undrafted QB's who spent a few years on the bench before they got their chance to play every Sunday.

He is still better than Cam.  Cam is a great athlete but he sucks as a QB and as a leader.  Cam is about one thing and that is Cam.  He wants the praise and his name in the paper but doesn’t want to put the work in for it.   Do I think Allen is a starting QB in the nfl, no but at least he is a team player.  I hope we move on from Cam next season and actually find a real QB.

I am a Kyle fan.  How many times has Cam thrown 4 interceptions.   Last year in the Tampa Bay game on 12/2/18 I guess it was okay cause he was hurting.  Cam even had a 4 interception game in his first year against Detroit on 11/20/11.  I guess it is okay cause he was a rookie and he had to grown into the game, but you can't cut Kyle the same slack you gave Cam cause he wasn't a Number 1 draft pick.  Surprisingly Cam has had 11 3 interception games and 11 2 inceptions games during his career.  So we can't allow Kyle the same growing pains.  I didn't say Kyle was better than Cam but I see where he has better throwing skills than Cam at the same age.  Hell Cam can't throw a 5 yard pass for heck.     https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/what-are-the-most-int-in-a-game-by-cam-newton

Please don't do this man. Just let it go.

Kyle is really good for a young QB, still learning to be a professional. Don't compare him to young Cam who had the arguably the best rookie season of any QB in the history of the NFL - on a team that won 2 games the year before.

Cam is better than Allen. Fact.

Cam's salary is $20,000,000 salary (and will need to be renewed) vs Allen $500,000 salary. Is Cam 40x better than Allen? That is the bigger question then who is better.

Never said Cam was not better.  Just said that I was a Kyle fan and that over time he can start for a NFL team.  No Cam is not worth 25 to 30 million.  Too inconsistent.

Here is why I think this is a moronic thread:

1.  In the NFL, if you pressure the QB, his numbers go down--the more pressure, the more mistakes the QB makes.

2.  They were all over Allen all day--he could not step up into the pocket (Paradis sucks), he could not run out of the pocket (our tackles struggled).

3.  When he made mistakes is was largely because the timing was off--he was forced off his mark and the play goes from "planned" to "improv."

4.  While Allen made some boneheaded plays, he was forced to think on the run.  When playing from behind, you try to make things happen.  He lost his field vision and screwed up.

5.  So if you think this was Allen, it really was not.  He needs time.

The fact that anyone would start a thread like this tells me a lot---about the OP, not the content of the thread.  Give Allen time, give him a defense not wearing roller skates and he is fine--not great, but a manager.  With the talent around him, that is all you need.  If you think this was Allen---I am fairly sure you do not understand the complexities of the game.

I was only showing that even Cam had a 4 interception game his first year.  Kyle was running for his life all day yesterday like he did in San Fran.  Little and Williams giving him some time and he making those mistakes would have been inexcusable but that wasn't the case.

I'm still here, and I'm still on the Allen bandwagon. Bad games happen. poo happens, doesn't mean we give up on him yet.

Oline was putrid. Arguably one of the worst games in recent memory. Even cam never had it that had.

Allen will be back with a vengeance next week and all of you will look silly.

There will be a lot of crow to be eaten next week. Take that to the bank

But that is not what the OP and his pals wanted to hear.  You must point fingers and make yourself feel "right" by stating the obvious.  Would he have created this thread if the Panthers won by 20?  Nope.

I'll admit I thought he could ultimately be a good long-term starter for someone in the NFL. It certainly looks like I was wrong. However, I never wanted him to succeed at Cam's expense. I wanted him to succeed for the good of the team this season, and then hopefully Cam could come back healthy. Healthy Cam is my favorite Panther ever.

I’m a fan of people that win games.  Don’t really care about their work load.  If they can step in and be part of a winning formula for the Panthers I am a fan that.

Allen was part of that

But it shouldn’t be a shock a young QB is getting worse now that there is film on him.  Now it is up to Carolina to counter that.

Kyle Allen has GONE ON AND ON about how Cam has helped him. Cam doesn't need to do that.

This is just ignorance at best
