Doubtful. There’ll be a growing period where trolling cam fanboys will still be here pretending they were always Panther fans and follow for a bit mocking any QB the Panthers start and exhaustingly reiterate the wrong doings of this franchise to cam but once they lose interest for lack of attention and everyone moving one we’ll get back to panther fans relaxing talking football light heartedly on the forum once again... that’s my hope at least

Awwwwwwwww, you poor poor victim.

It must have been just awful for you over all those years having Superman for your QB.

Thanks for the offer but I will pass...  See where I said I wanted Cam to be the best ever...  I know you probably read right past that since it goes against the racist drum you beat all day long...

“People are tired, how he dresses, having fun, I want him to be the best ever, nappy hair, not my white savior”

Just because you have a line saying you want him to be great surrounded by poo that has nothing to do with how he plays is blatantly racist. How he dresses, him having fun, etc etc are all way past him playing football

also great to see @Snake run around in the early hours pooing any post that says a bad thing about his boy but hiding from threads like this what a champion!

Why are you Allen homers acting like these people and posts like them don’t exist?

I will get poo'd but....    I deal with the public at my job all day...  The Panthers are a huge topic....  When Cam comes up in discussion a wide majority of folks say they are tired of him and his antics...  Showboating, the clothes, the general circus he brings to the table...  I admit I am one of those people...  I want him to be the best Panther ever but be more business like on the field...  Watch some of the top QB's warming up....  Its all business....  Cam runs around acting like an airplane....  Maybe I just expect more out of the face of a franchise....

This is our bloody MVP, #1 overall pick, and generational talent of a QB!

So once again I ask. Why are you being obtuse? Is it deliberate? @maddog1945 @stratocatter @Catsmiaow @Iron Saint @SBiii @bull123 @ickmule @dave-o

I'll even add you jolly folks @App Panther @Snake and @MVPccaffrey. Why are you obtuse?

I have definitely expressed that I think KA has some upside, no doubt. But I don't think it's fair to judge any QB on the basis of one game, as ugly as yesterday was.

Here's some stat lines:

31/51 370 yds 1 TD 4 INT (Peyton Manning's 4th season game #10)

14/28 123 yds 0 TD 4 INT (Tom Brady's 3rd (full) season, game #1)

22/44 215 yds 0 TD 3 INT (Drew Brees 4th season, game #11)

And of course there are many other examples from many other successful QB's. And, I'm not suggesting that Kyle Allen will have the success that the above have enjoyed, but it is a mistake to evaluate any player on the basis of a single performance. There are lots of moving parts to any game, and to any player's career. Isolated performances are not trends, but that's why you play a player - to see what they can offer in the larger context. To declare any player a bust, or a bad player on the basis of one game is short-sighted.

Maybe he will bounce back and maybe he won't, but he is an inexperienced QB playing behind poor protection. Context matters.

If I were in charge of decision making, he'd have the rest of the season, at a minimum, to show what he can do and how he may develop.

Not sure why its so hard to believe the South East being full of racist's

I’ve been to the Northeast, the Midwest, the Southwest, the Far West, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Let me assure you, racism ain’t unique to the Southeast. In fact, its worse in the Northeast and pretty much every place I’ve been overseas excepting the Caribbean.

LT - Byron Bell and RT - Nate Chandler in 2014.

do you really want me to go thru the OLs and WRs we have had since drafting Cam? lol

clown

Oh the time we put a right tackle at left tackle because he’s “left handed” and a defensive tackle on the offensive line because he’s “athletic”.

Cam should have left this miserable franchise a long time ago. Fans treat him like poo and the coaching has been incompetent.

I'm still here, and I'm still on the Allen bandwagon. Bad games happen. poo happens, doesn't mean we give up on him yet.

Oline was putrid. Arguably one of the worst games in recent memory. Even cam never had it that had.

Allen will be back with a vengeance next week and all of you will look silly.

There will be a lot of crow to be eaten next week. Take that to the bank

KI believed in Kyle too in college at Texas Am but he has a tendency to flame out..irs just him did the same at Houston. He is a backup who can give u a good 5 to 6 games and that's not goid for a starter but good for a back up

My only issue with this is now that the playoffs are realistically out of reach, the focus has to turn to 2020. You've got a 3rd round draft pick that you need to get an evaluation on to inform your decision making through the offseason.

Yeah, I get that perspective. But you can't put two QB's on the field at the same time. Ideally, you'd like a full evaluation of them both, but that's not possible. I'm curious about Grier as well, fwiw. I don't think we'd see him perform any better than KA behind the line that is currently in front of the position though. QBs need some time to read/make decisions to show their best self, and that's in pretty short supply at the moment.

I would love to see if we had the same record with Cam as we have with Kyle.  We might have won the Tampa Bay and Green Bay games if Cam had been healthy but those are what if's,  San Fran and Atlanta we would have never won even with a healthy Cam.  The OLine has not improved any this year and Kyle is not going to run around but I did think his pocket presence was better than what it has been shown in the last 3 games.  Either he learns to move like Rogers or Brady or he will never make it as a back either.  Teams has tape on him and the coaches aren't helping him run plays he can take advantage of the other team.  I still say we trade Cam now not because he isn't good but he is not worth 30 million a year as a QB.  His record is not that good over his career to be paid that much.

Record? I mean I think we lost more games due to defense, coaching mistakes than just Cam mistakes. I think Cam would have had more success in records if he had not signed the 2nd contract. Cam was a good QB and still may be but this coaching staff just was not right for him. For what he has endured here he is good to have lasted this long.
